I've traveled to a lot of beautiful places in NA, Hawaii and Europe and camped in a lot of beautiful places, but Pacific Rim Park is absolutely one of the most beautiful parks and Green Point probably the most beautiful campground (get over the no showers hang up. you're camping for god sake). A heads up to campers at Green Point. You do NOT need to buy a park pass to camp at Green Point, as long as you are not parking your vehicle anywhere else in the park. If you travel by car and park in another location within the park, then yes you could be fined/towed without a pass, but not if you leave your car in the campsite. I speak from years of experience camping at Green Point. We just take bicycles with us to check out other locations in the park. And of course, you can take your vehicle anywhere else outside the park (ie. Tofino, Chesterman Beach, Uclulet etc.).

It's a place full of majesty. As a park it is well managed, understated, and welcoming to all visitor types. The information and directions were clear, the path to the Rainforest walk required you to cross a busy stretch of hwy but that was minor. It's a must for everyone no matter what

No matter if you are an adventurous backpacker or a tranquil tourist, Long Beach will give you the feeling of freedom and peace that only the open Pacific can give. Walk forever on the compact sand and watch the surf crash on the beach. In the tidal pools, look for beautiful green sea anemones and orange stars that wait there for the high tide to come back. Gorgeous!

This is a world class park and I suspect if the road in was better that it would used even more.HIghly recommend this destination if you are anywhere nearby.Road is improved since the 1990's but there are still a lot of curves and one very narrow section at the western end.No Park permit is required but parking fee offsets the "free entry". All of our national parks have a fee for entry/usage.

We wanted to take a couple of the walking trails in PR National Park but could not find the exit to the sites that we had read about on Trip Advisor. We looked for signs to the Coast Guard parking lot so that we could take the lighthouse walk but missed the signage both coming and going from Tofino returning to Nanimo. Very disappointed with lack of roadside signage to trails.

What can you say about this area and this park. The beaches are spectacular and beautiful. The power of the North Pacific in all it's glory. Worth every minute being there.

The beaches are amazing and beautiful. As it was recommended by several people, it is worth getting a pass for the park. If not, consider how often you go to the Park and try to make the most of your visit(s).

Just beautiful.............no other words can describe this park.In the past we went to this park with our children year after year, while living in Calgary. This was our Summer treat. It is a great experience for families with small children. There is always something new to see and experience at the Pacific Rim National Park.

We spent two days walking the trails in the Pacific Rim. If you only have time for one trail then walk one of the rainforest loop trails. Simply amazing.

We go spend a few days in Ucluelet or Tofino every few years this year we had a stroller and we were surprised that we could not remember which trails were stroller safe and which were not. The information we found online was not very accurate saying trails were easy but with stroller and mobility issues with stair they were not easy. The park information booth could not tell us what was accessable either. We turned back on a number of trails. The only two we found that we could do were the lighthouse trail and the bog trail. The rest had many stairs. The Lost shoe trail was not too bad but still had stairs we had to carry stroller over. All were wonderful and excellent exercise.

Enjoyed many varying trails in Pacific Rim National Park where the ocean meets beautiful old growth forest. There are trails of every skill level. Maps can be picked up at the visitor's centre.

Great views of old growth in well maintained boardwalk. Unfortunately, we chose the one part which wasn't easy to use. Other sections were fine, and could take a doddering old person.

There are several small/short hikes in the park - we did them all and I can recommend doing them all. Lots to see and do. Walking through a silent forest is nourishing for the soul. Stepping out of the forest onto the beach - well thats just a small piece of heaven on earth right there!

We arrived at Pacific rim national park late at night, a sheet was left at the office to fill out and put on our camp site. The next morning we went into Tofino to check out the surf shops. When we got back to the park we where stopped very rudely at the office. This was my first encounter with the staff, immediately the lady started lecturing me on how I had one strike already and two more would get me kicked out and my yearly provincial park pads taken away. I had to stop the manager in the middle of her lecture to ask what I had done to deserve this strike and rude introduction to the staff. We had left out camp site with stuff on our table, this was our mistake not being bear careful. The manager said to me she had explained all the rules to me yesterday I corrected her and said we arrived late a night so she could not have talked to me the day before. I promised it would not happen again but sure enough she had another problem with us an hour later. We had 3 tents at our site so she made us buy the campsite next door and set up one tent there, keep in mind there was alot of campers with three tents at their sites. Next problem was I was watching a movie in my tent the manager complained it was to loud. We had bought the campsite next door and the other side was empty. Horrible staff beautiful place the manager needs to realize it is not a prison it is a park. Hope they catch on and fire this manager.
