Hard to remember that there's a busy city just 15 mins away so peaceful and the views are to die for. The dog off leash side is our fave she just goes nuts running in circles with happiness every time we get there and that's the wife!! the dog is rather happy too :=]

Stunning location on Inlet. Awesome views. Fantastic old growth trees provide shade for family bbq. Wonderful beach and pier. Great place for a peaceful walk and fresh air. Facilities including washrooms.

Never had any issues with any other dogs or dog owners here. Our Great Dane has a long expanse of grass to stretch his legs & there are sandy beaches for him to play on & paddle in the sea esp at low tide. Awesome views!

This is the most beautiful waterfront park in Burnaby. It sits on the site of the old Hastings mill in Burrard inlet. Across the water is beautiful Belcarra. You can enjoy the beach, fish off the pier or walk up the Doug Drummond trail, enjoying the views of Indian Arm and Burrad Inlet. It's really nice in the evening, after a hot day, when the cool breeze drifts off the inlet.

Cold refreshing water, sandy beach, shady trees, what more could you ask for? We brought an inflatable boat here so was able to paddle out to the nearby island. In the middle, we had so much fun swimming in the clean, refreshing water of the inlet. Make sure to bring food or even portable BBQ (which we did) to complete your perfect picnic day. Come early because parking is limited but stay late for the low tide. Then you can walk under the pier and find tons of purple starfish. We saw some people crabbing too. Also there's and old ruined of pier that added a historical value to our trip. There's a washroom and changing room on the site.

Barnet Beach is located in a beautiful inlet. There is a nice little beach with remnants from WWII. At the time, people were afraid we would be attacked up the inlet. Of course it never happened.

This is a lovely park which I often visit many times a year with family and friends for walk, and BBQ picnics. This one also has a reservable picnic shelter area to accommodate upto 50 people or more. Washrooms are reasonably clean. A great place to chill with friends and family for sure.

Love this park. We come here every spring/summer just to have a nice relaxing picnic. Lots of shady trees which is why we love coming here. Tons of folks coming so remember to come early. Expect a bit of a walk to the park. Bring a picnic blanket and food/drinks but there is also a food concession stand just in case.

My kids love this park for finding marine life like star fishes/crabs etc. Found a jelly fish once too.i don't like the fact there is so much bird faeces and you have to watch where you are stepping!beach gets busy quickly though in the summer.

I like to come here, not in the busy summer, but the rest of the year where I can have the place to myself. This park is a long narrow strip following along the waters edge. Great location to be near the ocean and watch boats go up the channel to Port Moody. No amenities.Just off the Barnet Hwy, east of Burnaby, and just west of Port Moody.
