Best beach in whistler. Love how people let you join in on some volley ball.been there a few times this summer and its a friendly atmosphere. Everyone is inviting to play games and join in on the fun. Must do the river. Had a older couple get off there paddle board when they over heard us talk about how we never tried them. They rushed over hopped off and said giver a try. It was so kind

Theyactually skate on the lake. It's a beautifulspot to have a romantic walk and check out the view of Whistler ski fields. We'll worth a visit.

Take in the spectacular views of the lakes, trees, and amazing mountains. Beautiful spot in all four seasons. This is a great spot to take a photo of Whistler!

This was a very nice lake with beautiful views. We went in November so it was co-old and windy. However, I was actually seeking out an off-leash dog park, and this was one of the ones listed in the Whistler tourist guides.I was a bit disappointed that the dog area was so small. It is not fenced in (not a problem for us, but could be for others). If your dog likes swimming it's good; however, for running around and general exercise it is small. I wouldn't go here on purpose just for the dog park unless I was already in the area. The park itself is very nice. The beach area seemed small, but perhaps there is a nicer part we didn't find.

We stop by this lake a few times when traveling to Whistler. I like the combination of mountain and lake views, you can't get the same in Vancouver.

We stopped by to view the lake. The weather was sort of drizzly. I can't say the view was particularly special or scenic but if it was sunny and you took a picnic I think it would be nice. Especially if you were travelling with children. There was lots of green space and some ducks.

limited free parking in adjacent parking lot. concession stand rents paddle boards, kayaks, and paddle boats. nice grass park to lay around. picnic tables. 2 docks - one for swimming one for boats. nice lake for swimming although Alta Lake has warnings posted about "Swimmer's itch". Was told by the park staff that your risk is reduced if you don't walk around on the water's edge and enter the water by way of the swim dock. Water is nice and cold. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Connected by the Valley Trail for bikers and walkers, the park is a nice size with volleyball nets, beaches, tables, exercise stop spot, and much more.

You can drive or get there easily by bike on the valley trail. It has a very nice beach which can get quite crowded on a hot day! gorgeous view of the mountains across the lake. There is an off leash dog area (Barking Bay) which is zainey with happy ball chasing/swimming dogs. Don't go to that area unless you want to get in the way of a wet shaking dog! But its so much fun with your dog who loves it! there is a dock so you can swim with your dog. There are washrooms, BBQ pits and a large grassy area for relaxing or sports.

Wonderful dog beach at the end of the park that makes swimming with the pets fun. The park overall is beautiful, although pretty busy on a hot summer day.

This is a great beach. You can swim, play some volleyball, or relax. We loved watching the dogs enjoy the water, as there's a dog park next door. It is on one of the cycling trails, so it's easy to get to. The bathrooms are pretty clean for a public park. We visited this park twice during our week's stay. Well worth the time!

Rainbow lake is indeed like a beautiful country club. The swimming is refreshing with gorgeous views of the mountains. There are picnic tables, grassy places for chairs, a special dog beach, a changing cabin with bathrooms and generally one of the best excursions at whistler. Don't miss it.

We visited Rainbow Park during the Ironman weekend. Many people cycle, jog or walk from the Village to the Park. However, be aware of bears. We didn't see any but there was evidence that they are around.

It was amazing and so much fun. I would definitely visit this lake again when I come back to whistler.

Was here to watch my sister compete in the Ironman! What a spot! So busy and crowded with racers and then went back the next day and the place was spotless pristine beach with an amazing view of Blackcomb and Whistler. So European looking. Felt like I was swimming in the Alps!
