There are some great golf choices in Whistler (Nicklaus North, Chateau Whistler and Whistler Golf Club) and nearby Pemberton (Big Sky). The granddaddy of them all is the Palmer-designed municipally-owned Whistler Golf Club. It is a great, mature course with wonderful views. It also boasts some of the best pricing (including "locals" (BC driver's licence) pricing).

Friendly staffers and Nike rentals, plus well-groomed fairways and receptive greens. This may be the "public" course in Whistler, but it's in better condition than a lot of private courses I've played. The 16th is a particular highlight.

Thank you for the review. As mentioned in our phone call we got the idea to offer shorter tees for beginners from Bandon Dunes who also have tee markers in their fairways. I agreed with you they aren't perfect tees but we feel the attempt to help keep play moving was worth the compromise but agreed with you on the feedback on the tees. Golf Canada has the yardage for the tees and is working on a rating as these tees are new. Sorry the rating wasn't ready for you. As far as the course being in average shape, we will stick by the other reviews here. Thanks again for playing us.

I found this golf course very walkable and easy to get around. Not too difficult with great views. The staff were extremely polite and helpful

My son and husband went to golf on this course and LOVED it.They wished they had another day to go back and do it again.Great course, well maintained and a challenge.

Good pace of play. Course is in good condition. Nice clubhouse and dining area with good food. Played with a local which helped reading the course.
