This park is very accessible, even by bus. The walking trails are both easy and more challenging, depending which route you take. Make sure you see the view of Howe Sound, incredible!

You won't find many hiking trails better than this one, right in the middle of a suburb! Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver has some very nice old growth tree trails, a scenic lighthouse and lots of great coastal views and sea critters to check out along the way. The trails are not very difficult and are great for all ages.

The area is so big and not many people around ,great for nature ,the lighthouse area is a great view of Vancouver

Lighthouse Park has always been a favourite of mine for a walk through the woods followed by a picnic on the rocks watching the boats go by. If it is a nice day, get there early to get a place to park or take the bus.

A beautiful spot to walk your dog, stroll with your family and enjoy the old growth forest, views and lighthouse.

This is a great place to go for a stroll. Bring a couple of beers on ice or wine to enjoy when you get to the ocean (be discreet). It's a kind of "horseshoe shaped trail" hike with the ocean at the "rounded part" of the horseshoe. I"m pretty sure there are restrooms, but being a guy means the whole forest is a urinal, lol (again, be discreet and avoid the trail).Never had a bad expeience hiking at Lighthouse Park, but follow the simple rule: if you don't bring it, you won't have it. There is no place to get food, beverages, or whatever else there, so bring along everything you may need.

Just be ready to get a little muddy if you stray off the main path to the Pt Atkinson Lighthouse...you'll enjoy the experience no matter which trail you take!

A beautiful park and trails in West Van. Great place to get outside and some fresh air. Make sure to walk all the way to the rocks, where you can see it more open and across the bay.

This was a great place for a short hike with young (ages 4-8) kids. We took the Valley Trail down to the Lighthouse viewpoint, had a snack, and hiked up the Beacon Lane Trail (wide straight road/trail). Yes there were a lot of off leash dogs which is not so great for kids scared of dogs. PLEASE keep your dogs on leashes! Owners were nice and we only met one mean-ish dog who was on a leash. I will definitely come back to explore more.

This is the best place near Vancouver to see what the forests of the area would have looked like before logging. Big old growth trees on a moderate walk down to the ocean bluffs with wonderful views out across Vancouver and over to Vancouver Island.Be sure to take some of the side trail loops and not just the main road from parking lot to ocean. Especially recommend the valley of the giants trail which loops down to the ocean. Big old growth Douglas Fir and Cedar trees.

Such an amazing park, it was my first time visiting and I was very surprised. The views of Vancouver and the ocean are unreal especially on a clear day. It was a little disappointing that you can't go anywhere near the lighthouse though but still a great place to go for a walk/hike. However, I hope you don't have to use the bathroom! The outhouses were closed, the bathrooms were disgusting and in desperate need for some attention. Not enough facilities on a busy day

The lighthouse park is located in the very west part of the great city of Vancouver.I went there with some friends because we found out about this place a few days before; it was described as a " a great sunset spot". We arrived there a little bit late so we were pretty sure that the sun had already disappeared, but when we crossed the Point Atkinson ( and his beautiful lighthouse ) a magnificent show was offered to us: to sun was still in the sky and it was breathtaking! That place was effectively one of the best sunset spot IN vancouver! But pay attention guys! To get the chance to have a perfect sunset like I had, the view has to be very clear. And there is a slightly probability that it happens unfortunately...But the park is still awesome !

Lovely light, gentle trails, glorious views over the harbour - a lovely drive from down town Vancouver.

I went to this beautiful park very early one morning for a good walk and birdwatching. This park is amazing with incredible views and lots of trails to explore. It was on a weekend and, unfortunately, by 10 AM there were so many people with their dogs off leash (legal on the trails) that I would not recommend it for the hiker looking for a quiet walk in the rainforest.
