We used Google Maps to view the camping ground and were able to choose a great site from this. Secluded, quiet spot in the middle of nature. Perfect for a lovely weekend away. Toilets are decent (make sure you take a good torch with you!) but no showers. Firewood is available to buy by the bucketful from the warden at night. Purden Lake is beautiful! Just a few mins walk away, it's lovely to sit beside or go for a swim in.

Clean sites, nice for camping. Good privacy with mature forest. Busy lake. Friendly staff to deliver fire wood. I would award 5 out of 5 if it had showers.

Purdon Lake is a fantastic place to spend the day.My daughter and her fiancé have 2 dogs ad there is a dedicated "dog beach" area where the pooches can enjoy themselves, without any disapproving looks from non-dog owners. They area is very clean and tidy, unlike many in the UK.

Our favorite place to go for a dip; Purden Lake Prov. Park is about a 45 minute drive east of Prince George. The lake is clean and refreshing (sometimes too refreshing!) and the park has a dog beach, picnic area, boat launch and covered picnic area. We are reassured that we will not encounter swimmer's itch as a souvenir!

Be aware that none of the camping spots have electrical hook-ups, so every person with a 5th wheel will have their generators put-put-putting away at all hours.. >:(The lake is good for swimming, and there is a dog beach and gazebo for picnics. There are also 2 trails that follow the shoreline and are well mantained, as well as a playground for kids

There are plenty of tables in the grassy area above the fairly long beach. It is great for children and adults alike, as the water is fairly shallow for quite away out. There are changing rooms and outhouses at this clean park.

See liegt nicht weit von Highway 16. Es lohnt sich sogar eine kurze Pause hier zu machen oder auch länger verweilen. Schöne Lage mitten in Gebirge. Auf dem Weg zum See habe ich die schwarzen Bären getroffen.
