This is a must see in Mission. Unique cathedral run by the Benedictine monks. For a sweeping view of the valley take the short walk out to the lookout. Just follow the gravel path. You can also reserve accomodation here with breakfast.

This is a beautiful location, well worth a visit. the Abbey itself is fascinating, and the property is beautiful. Take the walk down to the edge of the cliff and look at how the Fraser Valley came to be!

This is a must see breath taking view and amazing history at the abby. You can also start at the bottom of heritage park and follow the trails to the monastery it's an amazing hike with breathtaking reward. The only thing is there are no dogs allowed.

Took my visiting family to see the Abby, must say it was beautiful. The garden well kept, the chapel was extraordinary and the senior monk, if I can say that was so very friendly and informative. A must see, especially the spectacular view of Mission from the top of the hill, don't miss that part.! Just make sure if you visit in the summer & want to see the inside of the beautiful chapel you are not wearing shorts because you can't go in. Fortunately I knew this ahead of time and made every one wear pants:)

Years ago I went there as part of a retreat. Spent the whole day there! Very historical. We had lunch there! Extremely memorable.

If visiting Mission this is the place to go for a beautiful overall view of Mission & the Fraser River. It's just a short, easy walk to access the view. The Abbey is also a quiet, peaceful place to visit and worth taking 1/2 hour of your time to see.

Follow the path to the lookout , sit on the bench ( if someone hasn't beat you there)and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and the valley. You could sit here for a long time as it is a great spot to ponder life or anything else, a very peaceful place.

The Abbey Church is spectacular. Awesome stained glass and bas-relief images. But the walk - around the grounds and along the bluff, overlooking the Fraser River, that is the best! Stay for Vespers if your can.

This is a lovely quiet peaceful place with a modern chapel that has coloured glass windows, arranged to go with the time of day sun hits them. Nice walk to view point over Fraser river. Gardens were a bit weather battered, as it was end September.

The place fills you with reverential awe. A must visit if you are in the area. The gardens are beautiful and the art in the abbey is inspiring. The stained windows are colored according to the seasons.

We attended in Sept, the dahlias still in flull bloom and very beautiful which the students/monks take care of in the gardens. The walk to the most amazing view takes 15min and very nice scenic walk on a wide trail, most any age can do it but mostly soft gravel or dirt. You will see Mt. Baker, Fraser River and all directions of the Fraser Valley right to the U.S.A. We stayed as wanted to see the Catholic evening service and hear the choir the monks and others sing. Service very interesting, we sat on the West end and I would suggest offering the song books ect. to us people also as you did with the North seating people. We would of liked to follow and join in with the singing and prayers. The Cathederal is very old, beautiful, and come on Sun 415pm and hear the bells, service at 430pm. Service 1 hr. The fathers come out and talk to you and answer any questions in side their office building where there is a model replica. Rest rooms are there. Adequate parking. No seating benches which I would suggest even for me with a pain full back near the garden. You will have a up hill push with a wheel chair but have seen only one person do it. It is a teaching facility so no restaurant for public. Go on a warm day but view will always be there! Softsand-13.

The Westminster Abbey at Mission is a "Must" visit if you are anywhere in the vicinity. The abbey itself is a fairly modern structure and is not too impressive, but the setting and location are everything. The gardens are magnificent. We visited in August and the dahlias were the biggest and most beautiful we have ever seen.We took the short path through the gardens to the vista point overlooking the Fraser Valley and Mission - Absolutely gorgeous. You can sit here for as long as you wish and never tire. The abbey itself was closed when we visited, but there was a choir practicing and their beautiful singing floated out and complemented this beautiful visit.Relaxing and Beautiful - Certainly a MUST!!!!!!

If you have a chance, visit the Abbey in Mission. It's a rather modern style church but has some fantastic stained glass. And there is a little walk (about 5 mins) that takes you to a view above the Fraser River. Spectacular even on a cloudy day - you can see for miles.

Stunning architecture, set in a park-like garden overlooking the Fraser River. The dramatic lighting from the tinted glass windows created e serene aura.
