Loved this majestic mountain. Lots of long runs. Daily written tips helpful. Could use better directional signage at top stoker chair for directions to ripper chair. I took the single track trail -- scary.

I loved the hill, despite it being near the end of the season. The Last Spike has got to be the flowiest and best green run in the world. How it qualifies as green though... not quite sure, but parts do. Maybe I'm just getting old. Regardless, I loved it, and even my son who was experiencing his first days on a snowboard was enjoying it. I also had the pleasure of meeting Rob, the General Manager. He was a super friendly and helpful person. It showed not just with how he treated a stranger popping by his office, but also in his staff who were all very similar. I can't wait to go back.

Our week on Revelstoke was marked by above freezing temperatures, fog, cloud and snow in the mornings that was so hard it was almost bullet proof. Despite that the mountains potential is obvious. In decent snow and weather conditions it would be amazing - we will return.

Best ski resort i have ever been to. So many runs to choose from and good powder on day 1. Trails could be marked better but not that bad.

I was surprised by the amount and range of glades available here. A few wide-open ones for beginners, and a lot for the more advanced. There's really only one 16km long green route, which snakes across the mountain; the rest is blue and black. For an intermediate skier like me, there was tons of terrain to explore. The teaching staff were excellent, always friendly and accommodating, and generally gave you more time than they were contracted for.What a great (albeit a bit hard to reach) resort; 5 hours drive from Calgary, 3 hours from Kelowna.

This is the one. It has it all: snow lots of it, usually fresh, often the big dumps come in March; fall line skiing, trees, scenery, plenty of variety. I love this place.

In comparison to Kicking Horse- Revelstoke has a little further to go!The mountain is smaller, with only one gondola servicing the route up the mountain, on powder days you can face a 30 min wait or so, but once you are on the mountain the crowd disperses making any of the lift lines barely a 10 min wait at the most!Visibility can be problematic and unfortunately three out of the four days we were here we faced this issue making off-piste too dangerous for new visitors to the area, which is a shame because my review may have been different if we had that opportunity!What Revelstoke has going for it, is its close proximity to a fantastic town centre; this means you can find reasonable accommodation and food options, with only a quick (free) shuttle service up the mountain daily!Would I visit Revelstoke again- totally, but I might save a little more money and look for some back country tours to quench my thirst for powder and untouched runs!

My daughter and I came here to ski powder and that was the only thing missing. We picked the wrong year. there had been no new snow in 2 weeks. The temperature was warm and the runs hard packed. They did a good job of grooming as that was all that was skiable. Off piste was frozen. This resort has over 5000 vertical feet of skiing but only the top half was good on our visit. The runs are long and there is lots of steep skiing. Lift tickets reasonably priced.The town of Revelstoke.is small but fun. Lots of places to stay and eat in the town. Not too bad to get to Revelstoke. We flew to Kelowna and rented a car for the 2 hour drive.If you are a serious skier and there is good snow this is a great find. Without good snow 2 days is plenty. We added a day of Helicopter skiing.

Limited skiing experience @ this area:- Top was fogged in and runs were hard packed - fall and you either slide to the bottom or end up getting a ride down w/Patrol. We bailed early and rode the gondola down to avoid the bottom slush.- Base area lacks a real lodge. I personally was put-off by this missing amenity. There are bars/cafes/etc. If you wanted to just hang-out it appears you'd have to buy a ticket to ride to the gondi's mid-station to get to a lodge.- Revie is not going to win any 'easy to access' awards, hence my Title of choice. Getting there from the Spokane area is going to take most of a day - even in good weather. Driving over from Golden might be slightly easier, but driving thru B.C.'s Glacier National Park, while scenic, is no easy freeway access either (although being the Trans-Canada highway it should be well maintained). But maybe that limits the crowds??- There was still over a foot of snow in the city of Revelstoke - as the drought/warm-up of Feb.2015 was in full force -and this was @ 2K feet/ 610 meters. I would guess in a normal snow year you could ski to town!Wd

Fantastic terrain for a serious skier. A brutally honest snow report and forecast, written by skiers, not marketing cheats. Reasonable lift ticket prices. A great little town at the base, with numerous sensibly priced lodging and food options. A very convenient gondola. What's not to like?! We were there when the base was slush, and even the top was far from powder, and still loved it. We will be back for pow, I imagine with the right conditions, it will be among the best of the best.A fair warning: black diamonds are serious business there, be prepared for anything, including wild terrain with breathtaking steeps, narrow gulches, jumps, and tight trees.

I have been coming to Revelstoke since the days when the hill was a cat. operation, and anything with a cable was a dream. The lifts, though limited, give you access to an immense, quite challenging ski area, with some seriously long runs. I'm always to come back for a couple of days

My brother and I planned to ski in the Seattle Area this February, but nearly a week of rain left our usual favorites a bit green. We drove to Revelstoke because they had the best snow report in an 8 hour radius. The drive to Revelstoke was long, but easy in the springlike weather. When we got there, the base was slush. We boarded the gondola and the higher we got, the better it looked. By the time we got to the top of the Stoke chairlift, the snow was deep and light and we were glad we made the drive. The mountain was huge and offered a great variety of runs for advanced skiers, but this is not the place to bring the timid skiers in your family (it has one of the highest percentage of advanced terrain I've seen). I'll definitely be back in a good snow year!

We had two hour orientation tour with a young ski instructor on day 1. He established we could ski and then we had an exhilarating tour of the mountain at speed. It set us up.The runs are long and in good snow this hill is magic, especially the glades. The groomers save it when the off-piste was unskiable. Great shuttle service. Good eating places and bars at the base of the Gondola. Gets a tick.

Don't judge the size of the mountain by the number of lifts. There are only 2 quad chairs and an 8 person gondola but there is more accessible mountain than you can easily cover in a week. 1700 metres of vertical and the terrain is steep. Hard to imagine how anyone could come off the hill without their quads screaming. Unless of course they spent too much time on the balcony of The Mackenzie Outpost ( top of the gondola) sampling the mountain mocha and consuming 'Bruce'burgers.... The burgers are spectacular and really deserve a review of their own. Certainly after a Bruce you feel able to hit the North Bowl with renewed vigour.The snow up the top made for magic skiing through the trees and into the bowls. When our legs needed a rest we hit the groomers for a run or too. Perfect.The terrain means it's not a great mountain for beginners but spectacular for those after some hard out skiing. We didn't have great weather with lots of cloud and fog making visibility tricky from time to time. A couple of bar/ restaurants at the base for limited après ski.Definitely worth the trip for those who love to ski.

Just be careful to avoid the ski area when there's a pineapple express taking place...that was our mistake, but it's still a fantastic place to explore.
