A hidden jewel just off Highway 16. An excellent place to walk, camp or for special occasions such as Weddings or Birthdays. Although it is closed in the winter it is still used for XC skiing or walking depending on the weather. Probably the most beautiful park on all of Highway 16

We were passing through the area and wanted to stay in a nice campground near a river or creek. We pick Kleanza as it was along our route. As we entered, there were signs posted advising of a fire ban despite the wet ground and roads. It had been raining the last few days and it was not dry at all. We would have stayed here, except for the fire ban (it isn't camping without a fire and cooking over a fire). We stopped in the day use area and fished the creek for about 1 hour. We ended up pushing on to the Ferry Island municipal campground in Terrace which is never affected by fire bans.

Gorgeous spot for a picnic or short hike uphill to waterfall & river canyon viewpoints. Parking is a short drive off the HWY. Just do it.

Staid here one night on our way to Prince Rupert. Camp hosts are very friendly and keep this park neat and tidy. The creek was roaring, what a great night sleep we got tent camping right next to creek. Large trees helped protect our tents from rain we got that night. Very picturesque place. Make sure you go to the back and take the hike up to the pools. Only pit toilets and hand pump for drinking/cooking water.

Beautiful provincial part. Lovely walk in nature. Super clean and breathtaking sights. Loved this place when I visited.
