Amazing trails, great views, well mapped. Lots of dogs off leash, some cactus concerns for them but otherwise incredible! Enjoy!

Being from Ontario originally, I am already swept away by how beautiful Kamloops is and the warmth and friendliness of the city, but OMG when I climbed to the tower of Kenna Cartwright, it literally took my breath away. I never seen a view so beautiful in my life. It was lightly snowing as I climbed to the top with a few new people I met. There are several lookout points along the way and I must say that my heart was left behind. I wish I could climb it everyday. When I got close to the top where the tower is, I seen my first bald eagle which was incredible! I've never seen one outside a zoo before. The climb to the tower and back took just under 3 hours, but it was cold and I stopped to take photos... many many photos :) The trails are very well marked, especially considering there was snow on the ground. It wasn't hard to stay on track. The park itself was really clean, and the signage intact. Lot's of people were also walking their dog on the trail so I got to meet a few new furry friends as well.Overall this place is a MUST SEE if you are coming to Kamloops. Even if your hear as a stop over you have to check it out and make time for the view. The trail entrance I took was off of the Home Depot parking lot and it's a pretty easy path until you get closer to the top where it goes from easy to intermediate. There are a few washrooms throughout the hill and some picnic tables if you choose to make a day of it. The park itself was quite large so I strongly recommend bringing a map to ensure you don't get lost.My new oasis in Kamloops. Great park guys!

This park is fairly new, and has only hiking/biking and some view areas. It is nice and large, close to the city with parking for the users. Be aware there are wood ticks from around May 1st to August, so check for any that may attach themselves to you in a day or two.

This is a great hiking park you can make it as much of a workout as you would like a nice stroll or up up up ok so not to high but great views and get you heart working

Huge park with so many trails you will come back over and over again. You can see deer, downhill cyclists, old and young walkers and in winter you can bring your snowshoes.....great asset to our city.

I hike in Kenna Cartwright Park most week days and love it. There are many, many trails to choose from and lots of people that use them.

One of the things I love about Kamloops is the many hiking and biking trails right in the city. The trails in this park are well marked and well maintained. There are also washrooms in the parking lot at the entrance to the park. Head out in the early morning to avoid the heat of the day.

A nice place to get away from the city with some varying difficulty of trails for running and mountain biking. Beginner to difficult. Go early am as the heat in Kamloops can be brutal.

A beautiful park within the city of Kamloops. Located on the south shore, it has four accessible parking areas that I know of all off of Hillside Drive; Home Depot, University of TRU, Hidden Trails subdivision and Dufferin just past the school. There are many well marked trails, each with a degree of difficulty. Some of the trails have you way above the city and the scenery is spectacular.Wether you bike, hike or walk, this park is big and open, you might not see anyone until you return to the entrance!

Loops and climbs, get your hear pumping. Our son rode his bike and we hiked. He did laps on us. Great views of Kamloops too. Located in Dufferin above Home Depot.

There are many options of trails to go on, so if you only have a short period of time you choose a short route. The weather was somewhat doubtful as to whether it would rain so we took a shorter loop. What a great view of Kamloops.

Kenna Cartwright Park is my favourite getaway if I want to ride my XC bike or go for a hike in the woods, but don't feel like driving far. It's literally surrounded by the city, but once in the woods, you feel like miles away. The terrain is beautiful, some wildlife can be spotted and it's never crowded. Awesome spot if short on time, but in need of a workout or getting out in the woods - or for a long XC bike ride. It's all there, 5mins from downtown Kamloops. The park has various access points, it's worth finding your ideal fit.If just going for a stroll, 'Hidden Trails' (on top of Pacific way) is best, for a steeper approach, drive up to Hillside and park on one of the lots with trail access (easy to find). Happy Trails!

This is a great park for everyone and their dogs. As visitors to Kamloops we have only experienced the park in winter and it has everything: magnificent views, beautiful forests, a place to take your dog off leash, toilets, picnic tables, and a variety of walking trails ( maps are usually available at the park but can also be obtained online or at the tourist bureau). Sleds and snow shoes could also be fun. I do think the lower slopes could get very hot in summer though.
