This is a favourite stop every time we visit Hornby Island. The food is delicious, cinnamon Buns, etc. and great coffees too. There is a great import shop with treasures from Indonesia and Napal to name a few, jewellry, men's & women's clothes, hats and bags and garden ornaments. There is a beautiful enclosed garden and a nice place to sit and eat your goodies. Pizza is served later in the day, and the menu showed some great looking combinations, which I have not tried as I have not been there when it is served. A must stop, along with Whaler's Cove and the drive over to Ford's cove, check out the walking path near the cove.

A step back in time to real home baking and service with a smile. Enjoy your latte and muffin sitting at a picnic table in the producing orchard, tour the rose garden, poke around in the funky store for some unusual finds. During the summer there is live music on Wed. and Sun. evenings, a real "happening".

Best gluten free pizza in the ENTIRE WORLD. Ever. Hands down. In a beautiful setting. Apparently the regular gluteny pizza is delicious as well. I, however, will be back for Little Chicken on a gluten free crust and not be ashamed that I ate the whole thing.

I have sooo many great memories of coming here in the summer growing up. It's an awesome place, fresh, incredible food. Beautiful location.

Always yummy, fresh ingredients, friendly staff. It's so nice to be able to eat dinner in an orchard, or take your pizza to go down to the beach! Live music twice a week in the summer, and a cute import shop and delicious drinks! I highly recommend the Cardboard House!

over-the-top bakery and cafe by day... THE best pizza by night, live entertainment once a week, excellent little boutique attached

Cardboard House bakery is situated on the main road from the ferry terminal on the left, the sign is small but there are usually many cars parked on the road adjacent. The food is fresh and the portions are large, The panini sandwich - $ 7.00 - can easily be shared between two with small appetites. Caesar and Quinoa salads were tasty and filling. It was quite unusual that the pizzeria has different hours of operation from the bakery and did not open when we visited until 4 pm!The smoothies were a bit pricy - $5.00 - but large and tasty. Service was friendly and the attached gift shop had many hand made local items including jewellery. The best part of the meal was sitting in the attached orchard at the picnic tables provided. The bathroom facilities are marginal with a rather smelly port - a - pottie at the end of the gardenHighly recommended for lunch on the way to the beach

This is a beautiful little bakery, and one that should not be missed. Grab a quick lunch and sit outside on one of the picnic tables under the great apple trees. Or go to the pizza and music nights that they have in the summers. The pizza prices are a bit high, but the experience more than makes up for it. We go at least a few times each summer!

Do you love bakeries? Do you love trying new things? Then stop by this quaint little place to browse the showcase of delectable treats. Everything looked great but I limited myself to the Red pepper & garlic Pate (yummy, vegetarian), a bag of granola and the best almond bun I’ve ever tasted. There’s more here than just a bakery. The space is shared with Pizza Galore, Carefree Café and Gecko Design. There’s also a lovely little perennial garden and outdoor eating area which featured live music the day we were there. Can't wait to go back.
