silver lake provincial park

I stayed here only the one night, but wished that I had the time to stay longer. The campsite was clean, quiet and well maintained. Close to town for supplies. Beautiful lake with good fishing. some great views of the local mountain peeks.

Silver lake is the most convenient of the lakes, cooler to swim in but very refreshing. The scenery of the mountains is very beautiful.

We were visiting Othello Tunnels so were in the vicinity. Went up here following the previous reviewer's commendation. The way up here from Hope is nice, next to a river, but I would not rate it higher than "nice". It is a short way from hope, maybe 20 min drive. The beach of the Provincial park's Day use parking is nice as well. Grass and picnic benches almost to the water with view of the lake and the high mountains above. The lake's water seem clear and clean.

The drive through the forested area to the Silver Lake was exquisite. It reminded us of Lord of the Rings. Magical place and well worth a visit.
