Many thanks to Regan and Sylvie for the amazing fishing charter. It was an early birthday present for my husband and he ended up catching a 14 pound Chum. We were also very impressed to see the traps being pulled up, loaded with prawn and crab. Both Regan and Sylvie are friendly and super helpful and we learned a lot about the area and how to make the most of your days fishing off the east coast of Vancouver Island. The boat was excellent and Regan and Sylvie were the most attentive hosts. Regan never stopped moving, always watching the lines and jumping up at the slightest tremor. We will definitely be back.

Regan and Sylvie were great about explaining things to us and the kids. They didn't seem to mind our inexperience and we learned a lot. I know our kids have come away with lots of new fun facts about the boat and fishing in general. We were thrilled to get a beautiful salmon almost right away after hearing from many people how slow salmon fishing had been this year. Catching a Lingcod with live bait was really cool to see as well. The prawn traps were a big wow factor, I think we counted over 300. And even though we had to throw back our crab, we did like seeing them.We would book again.

A great fishing charter with friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Regan met us in the parking lot and took us to the boat where we met Sylvie. After briefing us on safety features and concerns we headed out to drop the crab and prawn traps and made our way to Thrasher Rock and salmon fishing. We got a bite early on and after setting the hook, Regan handed me the rod and I was reeling away and when the end of the line surfaced, there was no fish on it. We persevered for another couple hours but no bites. We moved onto bottom fishing where Sylvie hooked into two good sized Ling Cod which gave both of us the chance to reel one in. We also caught 3 Rock Fish. On the way in Regan pulled up the prawn traps...we got loads and the crab trap was loaded but only three keepers. All in all, a fun, relaxing, special time.

What a treat we experienced with two of the nicest folks on a lovely fishing craft fully equipped to catch a number of different fish. Thank you Sylvie and Regan for a memorable family outing we will never forget! Feeding the bald eagle was a once in a life time .......definitely see you next year!! Thank you!

Brilliant day out on the boat with Regan & Sylvie. Even though we didn't catch much they made the day a fun time and were really helpful to the novice fisherman

A great day out with Regan and Sylvie! They are friendly, fun, and knowledgable. They do their best to deliver an excellent trip. All the gear is supplied, including two different types of fish finders, and with two guides it's a smooth day with one driving and one helping with the fish. They cleaned our fish and would've been fun to have a beer with after if we had time! We almost limited out in about 4 hours and had 4 salmon (one 22 pounds), one ling cod, and two rock cod. Can't wait to go back, and will be looking them up next time we're out that way!

If you are visiting in the area of Gabriola Island call and reserve a few hours on the water. They know the conditions well, where the fish are, prepare all the gear, and will postpone if it's going to be too uncomfortable with sea conditions. They do the "grunt work", including the filleting, unless you want to bait the hooks and clean the catch yourself. Salmon are hard to catch much of the time, but there is nothing that can compare with a fresh-caught ling cod, cooked for supper that night! The prawns are a bonus, and there's usually lots of them in season. Regan and Sylvie are a delight, and their boat is comfortable and fast when the need be. We had enough catch for a big dinner that night, and meals of frozen fish for the future. Our grandchildren loved it, and the experience converted them from reserved at the start, to enthusiastic on arrival back at the dock.

Regan and Sylvie are passionate and charming proprietors who tell it like it is and do their best to deliver a fun day. We took our visitors from Sapporo on a half day charter in the Salish Sea in early August, and were told up front that the spring salmon were slowing down, the spot prawns were breaking records, and ling cod were reliably biting, so hopefully we would get 2 out of 3 and possibly a trifecta. Their boat was up to date, the equipment was also of good quality, and they know the waters around Gabriola. The weather cooperated, and by the end of the half day, to which they added 2 gratis hours because there wasn't another charter booked that day, we had 25 lb of spring salmon and probably 40 lb of spot prawns. No trifecta, but more than enough protein and fun to justify the cost and the time. I look forward to the next time.
