home of the tretheway family ,pioneers in abbotsford features original house complete with furniture my favorite being the player piano on mill lake which has nice walking paths also a museum on the grounds we were there when tea was being served on the lawn on the grounds

Beautiful old house with a great story. I really like the old style house and all the period furniture. The lady there was very informative about the history of the old house and family that built it.

The home is great to take the children/family to look at well preserved, lots of things happening and right by the park

Used to be a great way to show students the history of an Abbotsford founding family, but now they appear short staffed and can't manage large groups. The home is still lovely and worth a visit though.

I have brought my elementary aged classes to this site many times. It is so fun to watch the kids step back in time and learn about the pioneers of the area. The staff are very knowledgable, and they are able to paint a picture of what it was like to live at the time.The Trethewey house is beautiful, and has many artifacts to keep a visitor interested and entertained for a while. Even without a tour, it is a really interesting place to spend a few hours. There are places to sit outside, so on a nice day, it is nice to bring a lunch and sit in the gazebo.The site backs o nto Mill Lake Park, another great place to take the kids-lots of playground equipment, and places for them to run around.
