This store has everything to save you in pretty well any sort of emergency, camping, hunting or Apocalypse situation. From souvenirs to smokers, coats to camping, ammo to air rifles, and yes, even bullets to bras, they have it ALL...strange but true. There is an extensive selection of camping, hunting, cold-weather and military surplus gear. There is also an amazing private collection of military war-time memorabilia. The owner, Bruce, has spent years finding, collecting and displaying the artifacts, and the stories surrounding the displays are amazing. Lots of items collected from local war-time airplane crashes as well. Goose Bay was a famous Air Base for several nationalities during WW2 and also for low-level flying on into the 80's. The Base now hosts Sub-Zero Winter Training Exercises. The Staff are pleasant and helpful. The Manager, Sherry (very helpful), goes out of her way to help customers find the perfect fit and perfect item. Audrey (shop assistant, very smiley) will help you find the best gift for that special someone. Andrea is soft-spoken and will help with anything you need, and also gives great directions for tourists lost in this little town! What great ladies! In "the basement" near the Military Museum displays, the guns and ammunition sales department is amazingly well-stocked. "Bruce" the owner will also bring in special-order guns, and shipping to Northern locations is also possible. Three young guys will help with recommendations; William (pleasant, and very knowledgable about cannons), Charles (helpful and knowledgeable about guns, ammunition and provincial FAC regulations) and Steve (also guns and ammo). All in all, a great store to visit. You'll never see it all in one trip, plan to be back!

No trip to Happy Valley-Goose Bay (HVGB) is complete without a trip to Northern Lights. Owned by, Bruce, an American who has lived in in the town for decades. The store is quirky and unique. There's none other quite like it. If you're looking for hunting and fishing gear, this is the place. There's also an incredible selection of camping and ex-military surplus equipment - all in the basement department, where there's also a mini-military museum and an array of stuffed animals and birds, and the 'There Bears' always delights and scares the children - Grrrral! On the main floor there is an extensive selection of clothing, lingerie and souvenirs and crafts. Say hello to Bruce if you get the chance!...
