This park is very conveniently situated close to the city. It has nice walking trails and various terrains. Many activities and events throughout the year. Huge outdoor pool, tennis courts, leash free area, picnic shelters etc. The internal roads should really be blocked off as unauthorized vehicles tend to get in and speed around inside the park not paying attention to pedestrians.

BCPP is an amazing facility during all 4 seasons. In my younger days, before children, I enjoyed walking the many trails; later when I had 3 children very close in age, it was the perfect place to take them on my own, without assistance, where they could run freely and happily and with complete safety. My husband and I spent many a gloomy November - February watching our young family play in the playbarn, leaping off ledges onto soft mattresses and exploring different structures. As they got older we enjoyed the saucer shaped pool during July and August and enticed them round one particular trail which has different exercise machines at different stations. "Meet you at the next one!" When my son was 16 he was a lifeguard at this same pool. Now, as a senior, I enjoy biking and hiking round the parameter of the park and on its wooded trail. Trillium season is beautiful. In winter you can skate outdoors and there is an awesome tobogon hill. The old Victorian famhouse is still a museum to wander round, there are more shelters to protect the eager weekend family or organization picnicers, the children's farm, particularly the latest batch of pigs, gets lots of squeels from all ages. I just wish an Oakville bus would make a twice daily trip there. Then so many more people in Oakville could visit and enjoy this hidden gem up Burloak Road; seniors and stay at home mums with little ones, people without cars, could all enjoy this wonderful facility. When the park was first envisioned, it was supposed to be on a local bus route. It is time to start that bus route, please.

We live in Bronte and would come here more often for hiking, the play barn, etc.... except that the season pass and daily pass have gone way up in recent years.

Thank you for your review of Bronte Creek Provincial Park. The 1.8 acre outdoor pool is certainly a highlight of most people's visits during July and August. The Playbarn and Children's Farm are open year round - so kids can "run off" their energy! THe spring is a great time to visit to see all the new young animals.Have you tried camping at our campground off Bronte Road? It's a great place to test out new equipment or introduce kids to camping. Check out the Learn to Camp program.Hope to see you out at the park soon... maybe at the Maple Syrup Festival?Park Ranger

Thanks for taking the time to tell us about your recent visits to Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Yes, Our 2 leash free areas are very popular with local dog owners. It's a great way for dogs to get some exercise while owners enjoy a scenic and "green" escape.Dog owners need to know that areas are not fenced, so if your dog is prone to not listening (ie Returning to you) it is best to work on those skills before bringing them to the park. As with other Leash-Free areas ---- dogs need to be properly socialized, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s). Again thanks for sharing - hope to meet you out at the park someday soon.Would love to see pictures - share on social media #BronteCreekppPark Ranger

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Campground of Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Yes, there are many "weeds" to be found in the park and campground as it was carved out of old farmers fields. We have changed our mowing and vegetation management so that natural succession can take place. We have also planted 1000's of trees. You should start to see a big difference over the next few years. Just imagine how nice it will look in 15 years! There are 2 walking trails + the leash free area where people can walk and enjoy nature. You also have access to the day-use are off Burloak which offers many more hiking trails and facilities. If you like the park in the Spring and Fall.... you should also try us in the Winter! No Winter Camping YET, but we are working on it. The winter offers many outdoor recreational opportunities and fun festivals.See you soon out at the park.Park Ranger.
