My husband and I really enjoy going to this theatre. We have been going there for at least 5 years and have seen many, many wonderful performances. It has been worth the drive from Toronto. The theatre is intimidate and I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house. The cost of the performances is not outrageous and the parking is free, so it makes for a reasonably priced evening out. We have joined the Circle of Stars (a supporter of the theatre through a modest monetary donation). This is such a good deal and a win/win situation. The theatre gets needed dollars and we benefit by receiving 4 complimentary tickets, complimentary coat checks, complimentary coffee/tea/water at intermission and a complimentary pre-show reception. I would encourage anyone looking for good entertainment to visit their website or get their magazine outlining their upcoming performances.

We attended the performance of Matt Dusk. We have seen him several times and he did not disappoint. He sang a lot of his Christmas tunes as well as some from his many albums. Very entertaining. The seating in the theatre is very good, leveled so there are no obstructions in front of you. Plenty of parking and easy to get to from anywhere.

Great venue for everyone, inlcuding families for super shows at a better price than Toronto. Free parking at Warden/Hwy 7 and lots of restaurant in the area to eat before and after a show.

This is a great venue for small theatre and recitals. Though the stage does fit a full orchestra and large choir. Acoustics as a performer are not great but as an audience they are great. Since this theatre is small most seats are great for view and sound.Markham Theatre subscription has a large variety. The Movie nights are wonderful. All films are from TIFF. Try it. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.

The boys were excellent! It wasn't as big inside as I thought it would be but the seating was comfortable with plenty of leg room. Didn't patronise the bar so can't comment on that but there is also a coat check for those who wish to use it. I was 7 rows back from the stage and for this concert is was perfect bethink for concerts with more instruments than just a piano it might be a bit loud. At any rate I've no reservations about going back for more productions.

Attended a Jake Shimubukuro (ukulele) concert at this theatre. Easy to access. Lots of free parking. All seats have a good view of the stage.

Comfortable seating and clean with helpful friendly staff. Puts visitors right into the performance. Could use better signage more visible from main thoroughfare.

Great line up of shows and reasonably priced. Theatre is located at Warden/Hwy 7 and easy to get to from anywhere in the GTA.

This is a good theatre for local productions and recitals. Lots of parking and excellent location. There is upstairs seating as well. If you are verically challenged (5 foot and under), it is preferable that you don't sit at the front row in the balcony as the iron bar railing obstructs the view. The theatre has an "intimate" environment so you can connect well with the audience. The sound system was a bit loud when we attended and I understand that ground level seating had better sound.

This concert style tribute show featured “The Big Bopper”, “Jerry Lee Lewis”, “Buddy Holly”, “Johnny Cash”, “Connie Francis” and “Elvis Presley” that took us back to the late 50’s, early 60’s. The tribute artists presented some of original artists hits but the highlight of the show had to be “Jerry Lee Lewis” going wild in prolonged “rants” on the keyboards as only he could bring off to the delight and much applause from the mostly senior crowd. Everyone seemed to have had a great time clapping and tapping to every song. I definitely enjoyed the blast from the past.

Conveniently located and with lots of free parking, the Markham Theatre remains one of the jewels of living in Markham - that some local residents still haven't discovered! I've been going to the Theatre for many years - watching everything from touring professionals (singers, comedians, children's shows, etc), to local high school productions, etc - and there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. Value is tremendous as the intimate setting allows you to be right up close with the artists and enjoy a very rich experience.Check them out - always a broad array of talent/acts booked - and reasonably priced.
