Gorgeous park, with mature trees, vast leafy green space with bike paths, picnic venues, river walk, ducks to feed, splash pads, public tennis courts, public pool. Cycle for miles out to Byron along safe bike paths. Snow shoe in the winter and cross country ski. This is a rare beauty to live beside. Country in the city. Stone's throw from the university.

Gibbons has it all. Beautiful shaded areas for picnics, the riverfront to walk along and feed the ducks, a sidewalk trail for biking, walking or hiking, and a wonderful children's' playground with a splash pad. It is a great place for a family. There's also a community pool although it was closed when we were last there (in the middle of summer, so that was strange).

Gibbons Park is a large open park where there are facilities for children and pets. Located by the Thames River it also is scenic and very pleasant area to walk through between the University and downtown.

A favourite with my dog - this is one pls the nicest parks in North London - the river. Thames runs alongside it - the wildlife is pretty amazing for a park so close to human habitation

This is a wonderful park! My boyfriend and I had pictures taken in the fall and it was beautiful. People do however mistake this for an off leash park and there are always large dogs running around with no owner in sight. You CANNOT drive your vehicle up to any picnic spots (I was warned by the parking enforcement). The spray pay is awesome AND free! The pool is a bit deep for little ones but still fun and it is usually one of the less busy pools in the city. Do not get too close to the geese, they will bit and they do not like being chased!

Lovely spot for a picnic lunch and a swim in the pool. The big old trees give ample shade. Bring lawn chairs and a blanket for true relaxation.

A beautiful large park along the Thames River. Mostly used by the close by neighbourhood. Mature trees make for a great place to picnic or go for a walk. The outdoor pool is always crowded during the summer in good weather. It is the place kids from the area have learned to swim for generations.

I've been here on Canada since only 2 weeks. When my friend took me to the park I couldn't believe my eyes. That was exactly what I was hoping to find somewhere near my home, and here it is ! An amazing gorgeous huge park with many activities to do and wide spreading by the river side to Thames river park where you can find the famous Ivey fountain. We walked for almost 3 hours by the river side and didn't feel tired because of the breathtaking scenery and landscape. I simply truly in Love with it

I visit this park several times a year, usually by bicycle along the excellent paved trails of London's Thames Valley Parkway. There are many excellent riverside parks along the trail but this is one of the larger ones with a variety of special features. There is an outdoor pool with lifeguards, a splash pad, a pedestrian bridge over the Thames River, a grassy meadow with tall grass and wildflowers, a heavily wooded rough section of trail right along the river bank, and a beautiful benched area beside the river where visitors can feed the resident flock of wild ducks and geese. Benches scattered along the river bank and along the trail located for either people watching or day dreaming. There are also numerous picnic tables scattered among the mature trees. A peaceful retreat.

We have been coming to Gibbons Park for over forty years. We love this park for its interesting terrain, stately shade trees, playground, tennis courts, swimming pool, walking/jogging/biking trail, cross-country skiing, and lovely river views. Gibbons is also a favourite place for picnics or just relaxing with a good book.

Whenever we're back to London, we always try and fit in a visit to Gibbons Park. Beautiful walkways, river front vistas and bird watching are great at the Park! Swing sets and fascinating nature make it fun for the kids. Definitely worth the visit!

Great splashpad and two playgrounds for little ones and older ones. The big pool wasn't opened yet but should be by now and the river paths are always fun to explore. Handy parking and lots of shade too.

Its my kids favorite park in London. It just has enough stuff to entertain the kids for hours. There is a large splash pad; 2 play grounds; lots of green space to run around and fly kites; there are usually ducks close by that you can feed; and the Thames is close by for throwing rocks in the water.
