Settlers' Ghost is a very nice course, challenging without being too tough - nice fairways and interesting greens. But, the price is very high for a country course.

Met some friends from up north at setters cove . Was a decent layout but was not happy with the value for money . I was really disappointed with the greens they were loaded with sand at the beginning of August ? Crazy not enjoyable greens .Thanks

Settlers' Ghost has a nice breakfast and at a very reasonable price. The staff were also very warm and friendly. Dinner was also good and at a very reasonable price. I would definitely return because of the overall great service and value.

My friend was married on the 20th Sept. The reception was here -the food was great, the venue beautiful, the food service excellent. There were 100 and the food was brought out very quickly and well presented so we all ate together. It was hot ,flavourful and lovely. Would recommend this place for any special event.Same for the warm dessert. Great job to all involved.

Booked a tee time for a small group of co workers. The staff was able to fit us in even though it was a men's night. Also worked with restaurant staff to come up with a menu for the group afterwards. We had a great time. The course was excellent - challenging and well maintained. Marshall was very accommodating and made sure we were starting where we wouldn't be under pressure from the men's group. Dinner was excellent and restaurant staff are quick to make sure the experience is a good one. Overall we felt welcome and well taken care of. Only heard great reviews about the course, food and staff from my group! Thanks Settler's Ghost!

I apologize for your poor experience at Settlers’ Ghost. I looked up the marshal sheets for the day and yes the afternoon tee sheet was slow. I had a marshal and starter on in the afternoon so I am perplexed as to why you did not see anyone up to hole 7. I will confer with both marshals of the day and get their take on what happened. Our GAO time for the course is 4 hours and 17 minutes. The other two golfers you were playing with finished in 4 hours and 55 minutes so definitely behind time. We normally run at 4:17 max and most often at 4 hours or better.I hope you will consider returning to the course as my guest at your convenience. Please let me know if that is a possibility. The second issue of the range balls was a result of a problem with the ball washer. You should not have been given that particular basket. I have spoken to the back shop staff about it.Our driving range was recently built and is in the grow in phase. It was built many years after the golf course. It is very functional and in my opinion “cow pasture” is not a fair description. I run a very successful golf school and teaching program using that range and have had no complaints about it.As for the management….yes it was slow on Sunday (partly due to the club championship) but completely mismanaged is also not a fair comment and is based on very little evidence. I wish I had been able to talk to you on Sunday as I was on the property. So it looks like we dropped the ball at every point for you and your Father. Again, I am sorry for any inconvenience you experienced. Please call or email if you would like to play again.

We enjoyed their 3 course menu. The choice of courses was good & it's excellent value for money. There was no pressure to order drinks and the service was superb. We'd especially like to commend Jessica for friendly & extra helpful service.

I cannot share any golf or food experience here as I didn't make it out of the pro shop . . . I planned a Friday afternoon game with my wife and another couple . I drive for a living so on Wednesday I'm driving by the course and decide to go in and prepay for our golf , set up a lunch reservation , followed by a tee time for a foursome .I enter the proshop , and get into line . There are 4 other groups trying to get onto the course , so it was a 10 minute wait as the two staff members took care of business . So now it's my turn , visa in hand I step up to the counter , and just as I do the phone rings. The staff member who had just made eye contact with me , turns to her right and answers the phone , and proceeds with a sales pitch to what sounded like a single looking to get on sometime in the future .Now instead of saying to me " excuse me while I take a call " , or answering the phone and asking the caller to hold for a moment . No , she would rather try and sell this one single golfer who is not on the property a twilight tee time , then take my GUARANTEED money .I WAS ON YOUR PROPERTY , all she needed to do was take my moneyI understand retail , and getting a paying. Us tomes onto your property is the important part , once there the sale is easy , just be professional and treat that person with the respect that a customer deserves . The call lasted long enough that I walked out , got into my car and found a course just down the road that was happy to take money that walked right up to the counter without a sales pitch.I love my golf , and word of mouth is a powerful thing . Settlers staff , give your head a shake folks , I won't be back !

I like this course, as it is nice and open and yet offers some challenges. One bad thing common to many courses, is the number of players they try to jam through on a busy day. I know this was a bad winter but we pretty well waited each hole. Our second game was much nicer on a Thursday afternoon and we were unrushed and had a very pleasant game as a twosome. Cart girl came by often (it was really hot each day) so that was good as well. You can be stuck parking on the side street as the parking lot gets full easily (it is not marked at all so folks park fairly haphazardly.)

I was looking forward to the first game of the season until I got to settlers ghost. As soon as we got there I went inside to check in and the guy at the pros hop was in an argument with an older couple. Strange I thought and I felt bad for the couple because he was being extremely rude. Then a gentleman walked in the pro shop and told me that I would be playing with a single player.he didn't ask if I would mind if this other player joined our group he just said this is what's happening. OK. .. then when I approached the first tee he said that I would actually be playing with 2 other guys and that the twosome I booked now has turned into a foursome. Again not asking me this. I said that I would prefer to play just the two of us because I was catching up with an old friend. " sorry it's too busy you need to pair up, it's the rules". Then after sending the two single players away after arguing with the tee off people he then proceeded to talk loudly about us, thrown theirclipboard aggresively into the shed and make negative remarks on our shots. Will never play here again.

We loved this restaurant, food was gorgeous, very reasonably priced and service was great too, we ate here 3 times and there were 12 of us and no one had a bad mealThe steak I had on one night was absolutely fabulous, you will not be disappointed if you eat here

This is a challenging course set in rolling hills providing beautiful scenery. The only issue with the course is the number of blind holes. Otherwise a very enjoyable course to play.

This course has a links style feel to it. It was an extremely pleasant surprise to play. Staff was very accommodating. Course played long due to the wind conditions. Greens were fast and undulating. Take more break than you think you need. You need to drive the ball reasonably straight as anything off the fairway will cause y to lose a stoke. The restaurant at the club is excellent. Had north lunch and supper there on separate occasions and both meals were terrific. Highly recommend.

After a long absence my wife and I went back to the Settler's Ghost Golf Club Restaurant while staying at nearby timeshare, attracted by the advertised price of a complete dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. It was a blustery midweek night and a number of tables were occupied, the ambiance was lovely, service friendly and the food tasty. The menu was fixed with a number of choices offered for each of the three courses and apparently it changes frequently. We liked the idea of a fixed menu as food would not as likely be wasted and prices seemed to reflect that fact. I believe the menu was available on line so people would know what was being served on any particular day.The restaurant is located just a couple of kilometers from Horseshoe Resort and Carriage Hill/Ridge timeshares and makes for a very nice dinner outing when staying at one of those locations.

Played this course later in the season. Did the all day play, which was very reasonable. Course was in great shape. Rough was thick but fairways wide enough to make it very playable. I'm a 15 handicap and shot a 82, so I was happy. Some very pretty holes. Would play again.
