We did the lunch cruise and was told to be there no later than 11:30am. We assumed that was when the cruise started but we were pleasantly surprised! First we sat through about a 15 minute video of the Grand River from its headwaters to the end where if flows into Lake Erie. Next came about a 45 minute concert with the Blazing Fiddles......very toe tapping. When we finally boarded our boat and got underway, it was just so relaxing. Basically you go on board, either sit at your assigned table or go out on the deck, you can go out on deck between courses as well. Each course is announced so you can make your way back to your table. The food was very good ( amazing horseradish!!).After the meal, it was just so peaceful to sit on deck and watch the antics of others on the river or just veg out and watch the shore amble by. The captain gave us a commentary about the river or something on shore. All in all, I think it is just a wonderful way to spend a lazy afternoon!

We spent a lovely August evening cruising the Grand River. The meal was great, staff friendly and informative. Great way to spend time with friends. The Blazing Fiddlers provided music before the cruise, talented group. Good value.

Wonderful clean boats. Good food. Severs were very good. Beautiful drive to get there. The music before hand was very good. They had a nice craft store to look at, and coffee and muffins before it all started. The boat ride was fun although there wasn't all that much to see. I would go again for the food and the nice quiet boat ride.

Our family group of five thoroughly enjoyed our lunch cruise. We enjoyed the coffee and muffins, followed with a video of our trip, and the master of ceremonies was very informative, friendly and humorous. We were then treated to a musical show by the Blazing Fiddles who were absolutely wonderful. We did not want the show to stop. The cruise was very gentle and relaxing and the captain very informative and humorous too. The roast beef lunch was very enjoyable with a delicious apple pie to follow. Once again the staff were very helpful and efficient. The fact that this is a family business, and that John has built the boats himself, is great. Great value for money, and well worth a repeat visit when I next visit Canada. Well done to all concerned!!!

We had a large group for a retirement dinner on a very hot late afternoon. The grounds outside were tree covered and lots of chairs while we waited for all to arrive. Crew was very cordial and assisted us to our tables. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they seemed to remember peoples needs. We started our trip with drinks at our tables. The captain started to narrate the history of the area, but unfortunately the boat was at capacity and it was extremely difficult to hear the captain. We started our dinner with a mixed lettuce salad and our choice of three dressings, none of which were balsamic or italian which seemed to be the favourites within our group. The dinner which was roast beef was very tender, the mashed potatoes and gravy were excellent. The mixed bean vegetables were somewhat lacking. Horseradish was offered as was to be expected and was good taste and texture. The meat was carved at our table and once all were fed, the tray was brought around and seconds offered. After time to enjoy the view and the coolness of the early evening breeze, the captain announced that dessert would be coming. It was a strawberry shortcake. Nothing lavish but certainly acceptable and tasty. The boat left the dock at 6pm and arrived back as the sun was setting at 9pm. There is a gift shop on shore with a nice assortment of items very reasonably priced. I would recommend this trip again.

The Grand River flows in about 300 kilometers. The area we're talking about located next to Indian Reserve.Re getting to the boat location starting with coffee & muffin & than watch an unforgettable musical show. After 45 minutes of joy & happiness you're invited to the meal on the boat.It takes about three hours of full relaxing Roast Meal.

We were fortunate that the forecast rain held off for our cruise. Humidity was high but sitting outside offered some chance of a breeze. The cruise itself was very peaceful and calm but in saying that also boring. I was disappointed there was not more wildlife to see.The waitresses were very efficient had personable. Our dinner was slices of ham, mashed potato a,d an assortment of green and waxed beans. Homemade loaves of bead were presented to each table. Dessert was a yummy carrot cake.

The food was quite good. The staff are wonderful. Planning to go again now that spring is here. This might become my annual "Anniversary Cruise"... LOL! (Can't afford to actually go away for my anniversary, but had such a great time on the lunch cruise last summer, I'm willing to call it my Anniversary Vacation!!.)And... There is an adorable gift shop on site! Lots of hand crafts for sale! The gathering room has coffee, tea, and water, as well as cookies and muffins for those that arrive early.

We booked one of the 'boats' for a staff dinner. Every one enjoyed the dinner. Our captain was one of our clients and we had a great commentary of the area we were cruising by.

If you want a relaxing evening we recommend this dinner cruise. The evening we were on the cruise two people were celebrating birthdays. Another chap asked his girlfriend to marry him. So you can see it was a very festive evening. We had taken my wifes sister who was visiting from South Africa. She really enjoyed the trip as well. The food was fabulous. Not only tasty but plentiful.

Took some visiting relatives on the cruise. Enjoyed the video on the grand River on arrival and the Blazzing Fiddles were amazing. The snack re ceived on arrival was tea or coffee and either muffin, butter tart, or a cookie. They were very strict about everyone only having one, but they werezoterrible tasting that you would nevef want another one. The meal was just okay. So many flies inside ths boat it became annoying. Nice day but not worth $49.00 plus your beverages plus tip.

My wife's mother booked this excursion for my father in-laws 80th birthday celebration. We arrived and enjoyed a nice music show before boarding the boat. I was just hoping for a nice afternoon to enjoy the company of my in-laws and that is what we got. The cruise is just a slow lazy trip up and down the grand, I didn't expect and didn't receive any real visual excitement. If you are hoping to see any sights on the cruise you will be out of luck. The dinner its self was very pedestrian, I was hoping for a little more from lunch but it was a little disappointing. It is a three course meal with a loaf of fresh baked bread at each table. The first course was pretty much small bowl of lettuce, second was two slices of pot roast, mashed potatoes, some carrots and beans and a clear gravy. It was OK but not great. The gravy was a little different, I wonder if they used a gelatin as a thickener. I have never seen it like that, not that it was bad (it wasn't bad or good) just different. I did like their apple pie that was served for dessert. It wasn't bad but for $49pp I would have expected a nicer meal. I didn't want to obsess about the meal but with the cruise really being mostly about the meal (as there is not much to really see on the cruise), It was a bit of a disappointment. I can really only recommend this for large groups who just want a place to meet up for a group party. I wouldn't go if you just want a couples date excursion. It wouldn't be a thing that I would go out of my way to experience.

A great option for groups - big or small to cruise down the Grand River while savouring a satisfying lunch or dinner and listening to interesting commentary about the past and present life on the river and its banks. Delightfully relaxing and informative.
