The cultural centre is located in the renovated Church Street public school and is located immediately east of the library. They several exhibition spaces for art and sculpture and you can apply to display your work (there is a waiting list of course). The centre also offers special musical events with quality solo and small group musicians. The centre offers a wide range of courses related to the arts for children, and adults. Writing, guitar, water colour, acrylic art and more. It is a fun place for the family or yourself to wander around and check out the art on two floors and enjoy the ambiance of a public school building from yesteryear. The Aurora museum has some displays there as well.

This bulding was originally an historic school. In order to save it Aurora converted it into a cultural center and did an excellent job. It offers so much to the community in the way of arts, music. history, literature. Really awesome The presentations are professional and creative. Some of the guest artists are world renowned which speaks for the high regard for the Center. And yet there is opportunity for local emerging youthful and mature artists to show their talents. I am a regular visitor to the Aurora cultural Centre and always come away with a new appreciation and admiration of the arts.

The Aurora Cultural Centre is one of our gems. You must experience it. It is an old school house that has been refurbished and turned into a great venue for all things "cultural". Definitely worth the visit.
