I loved the view from this Fort. The museum was interesting with various artifacts, and the history of the English in Trinidad.

It is hard to get there walking but it offers almost a 360º view of the city at no cost at all. It is a simple construction but tells a lot abouthte history of the city.

Fort George sits at one of the highest peaks in Port of Spain, and affords absolutely gorgeous views of the city from its perch. Best thing besides that in my book is that it costs nothing to experience if you have transportation up the steep winding road. That climb gave me a few palpitations, but the reward is oh so nice! On a clear day, there's an obvious view of the coastline of Venezuela, and there's a cool/quirky jail up there that was fun to take pics. The panoramas are gorgeous, one of my best memories of Port of Spain.

The fort is high on a mountain overlooking Port of Spain, there's not much to see in the fort itself but is well maintained and really you would go to the views which are quite stunning also the ride up to the fort is good,a narrow winding road which from the base will take about 30 minutes to get there

The view from this lookout is breath-taking ! You can see the whole of Chaguramas. If you are in Port-Of-Spain,coming here is a necessity! The road up to the Fort Gerorge is very NARROW and VERY STEEP!

Fabulous panoramic view across Port of Spain and to the south. The drive up can be a bit scary at first, but very worth the effort. The road itself is in decent shape it's just very narrow in spots so don't be afraid to use your horn! Benches to sit down and relax are appreciated! Nice way to spend an hour in the afternoon.

Fort George is super fun to check out. If you you are new to Caribbean driving then go for it but otherwise maybe a cab. Go in the morning the light is better.

Fort George offers a great view of Port of Spain from above. Although not a big fort, it's very nice to stand on top and look down at the city. Even the trip, getting to the Fort is a very nice experience!

Getting to the Fort is a challenge by van because of the narrow roads, however once there the view of the Gulf and Port of Spain is breath-taking. Well worth the trip.

This is not a big fort but gives a good insight into local history with it's commanding position over the town. It is a steep drive up but there is a good car park, lots of picnic places and there is no charge to walk around the fort. There are lots of cannons - British of course! Definitely worth a visit.

This site is integral to the history of the island. The fort is kept in pristine condition and the facilities are also very clean and well-kept. The building hosts a small museum of sorts which can be perused in a matter of minutes, but the true payoff of the site is the spectacular and panoramic view it commands of Trinidad's west coast. Be sure to check out the tiny jail house which never held any human prisoners. Walk with your own refreshments though as no food items are available for purchase. Fort George is definitely be on your list of must-see attractions in Trinidad & Tobago.

The ultimate view. As you ascend to the top of the mountain you begin to be awed by the beauty of the West Coast. On reaching the top, the beauty of Port of Spain unfolds. Then you spiral upwards looking at a panoramic view of North to South Trinidad on the West Coast, seeing the whole of Port of Spain, the mangroves, Industrial complex, Oil Refinery, Northern and Southern Peninsulas, with its Northern Peninsula stretching towards Venezuela, and so much more. It is safe with a Tour Guide. Call me, a certified Guide in Trinidad. 18687258674

View is nice, facilities good but place is very isolated and is a potential security risk for a robbery.

Very well preserved, this fort occupies one of the highest places in Tobago. It commands a spectacular view of the port and surrounding area. The main building has a small museum that one can exhaust in 10-15 minutes, but the main attraction comes from the view of the island. It is one of the “must see” attractions on the island, even though there is not really that much to see or really learn on site.

Small building big views Sits atop a hill with stunning views down to the coast and Port of Spain Well worth the drive up to it if it is a clear sunny day
