Pulled into Collette's Bar in Red Ground; greeted with smiles and big hugs from Collette. Love this place. Collette is Jamaica to me. Love that lady and her beautiful kids. Met some of the most friendly people there. I suggest you visit this bar to see the real Jamaica. Our time was to short but I know I will be back to visit as soon as I can. Love you Collette!

The owner Collette has such an infectious smile and laughter that you can spend hours with her. I encourage everyone to say hi to her, you will have a friend for life.

a lovely small restaurant, friendly, helpful lovely staff. Waited a while to eat but when the food came it was definitely worth the wait. A must try.

During our stay in Negril we set out to find Collette's Bar. It is a little hard to find. But with the help of many locals we managed on foot to climb the hills and check this place out in person. Much to our surprise it was located in a beautiful residential area surrounded by loads of activity and friendlyness. Collette is so very beautiful and her radiant smile reflexes in all she says and does. We spent time there and then we were fortunate enough to have her and our driver join us at Tamboo for the best ever "Lobster Pizza" This particular day in the sun was one of my favorites on the island. Take the time to meet Collette and patronize her establishment, you will not be disappointed.

I read reviews and was on way to Ricks cafe. Stopped off and was greeted with a smile from Collette which was bigger than her bar. I wish had stayed there and not gone to Ricks. For the real Jamaica go to Collettes.

Colette's is a small bar off of the beaten path, near the fire house. Stopped on the way back from an ill fated trip to Red Dragon (they were out of pork). Colette's enormous smile and friendly welcome was just as previous reviews noted. She had a cast of friendly locals, including a knowledgable jamerican. As we hadn't eaten, we discussed options with the Collette crew. One quickly recommended a new fish place. Whipped out her phone, made a call and we had the owner waiting for us in 10 mins.Would go back in a minute. Local place which seemed to love tourists. Thanks Collette for a GREAT time. We will be back!!!

Stopped in for a beer (Red Stripe of course) stayed for several. Great location to meet locals and tourists. Possibly the friendliest bar in Negril.

It's a small bar near Negril but Collettes hospitality, vibe and personality made the experience unforgettable. If you let her know your going in advance she will put dinner on! We spent an afternoon in the storm drinking and sharing stories here for just $8. Experience local life at its best!

I had the opportunity to come visit Collette's Bar and finally meet the lovely Collette, and friends and family. The Red Stripes were nice and cold they were perfect! I wish I could have stayed longer we were having a wonderful time with Collette and friends and then, our driver came to pick us up as we had snorkeling lessons booked. Can't wait to go back. If you come to Negril, Collette's is a must!

We visited Collette's Bar in August 2014. It was imperative that we find this place after reading such great reviews. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the biggest smile and warmest hug from Collette. She rolled out the red carpet and treated us as though we were family. We enjoyed nice cold drinks as we played several hands of dominoes and listened to a selection of Caribbean music. Not wanting to leave, we took pictures and headed back inside the bar for more drinks, dancing, and laughter. If you visit Negril, please find your way here! It's a short drive from Seven Mile Beach. You would definitely experience that "Jamaica Vibe" here that many larger establishments lack. Can't wait to go back.

I was not overly impressed with this establishment. the beer was not cold and the bartender was fighting with someone that i assumed was her boyfriend...making the experience one that i wanted to get out of. I did not meet collette, maybe that would have made the experience better. We ended up going to another place up the road where the beer was really cold and cheaper. Much better atmosphere. I dont really think i would recommend this bar as a stop if you are on a time budget. not really worth the time. i found other places that had a better atmosphere.

If you are looking for a nice quiet place away from all of the hustle then Collette's is the place. Been to Jamaica too many times to count and I always stop by for a cold Red Strip & of course a friendly game of dominoes.
