cornwall beach

Large and spacious. Lots of beach huts and lounge chairs.A bit of a walk from the hotel. Close to the lunch bar with help yourself beverages. Can be noisy from the sailboat's loud "music" picking up and dropping off cruise ship passengers. Could be anywhere from 1 to 4 boats with loads of people.Sand is a bit coarse with lots of sharp seashells and coral.

I stayed a week at royal Decameron and hung out on this beach everyday. I checked out doctors cave and dead end beach. Neither compare to Cornwall. Cornwall is so neat and tidy. Great sand. Nice bar. Music. Lots of new chairs. Shade umbrellas everywhere. Volleyball. Washrooms and showers. Highlight of my trip.

It now costs $20US to enter this boring beach I have been told Decameron Hotel has bought this beach when i went it was occupied by a group of drunk rowdy Canadian women singing made up inappropriate songs........the loungers were dirty there this beach is a complete waste of time

As part of the Royal Decameron Montego Bay this is a beautiful beach. Sometimes a little busy when the Cruise ship people come in but still lots of room to move. Lifeguards do a great job.

As another poster said sad to have to pay to get into some of these beach areas that is what makes negril great!! "Can't wait to be there next month". The music was loud and annoying 3 sets of cruise shippers ashore a few hours... Well organized outing but its gonna be a little less touristy and a bit more local flavor would make this place great.. Nice clean place to visit the folks are friendly the facilities work great! Cheers to the guys in the watersports shop!D

Sorry but coming from Negril, we just could not pay to swim.. The beach was wall to wall loungers with no swimmers. The cruise ship had a 4 hour stop there too, so it was busy. We had a drink at the bar and enjoyed talking to the bartender. He makes a great rum punch. Beautiful place is you like that type of beach. We prefer more natural and free.

I love Cornwall Beach for its relaxing vibe and convenient location. The sand quality is excellent and the sea just right if you are a swimmer and non- swimmer. If you have small babies there are other beaches in Montego Bay that would be more appropriate as the sea can sometimes get deep very quickly and the waves are not always gentle, however, otherwise its great for young adults and older. The food at the restaurant is also great and there is one particular waitress - Joan I believe her name to be who is just a delight to speak with and excellent in her service.

Nice beach, we went there to board a catamaran, it seems if you are there to use the beach it's like 7.00 to get in

The beach was clean and felt safe. We went on a Sunday and they provided free drinks if you purchase a cup. The beach was crowded with and played wonderful jumping music. Had a ball and would go back.

Clean and Well looked after, with security to ensure people are not harassed by the locals. Okay, but felt it wasn't much different from the beach at the hotel I was staying at.

In all fairness we had read the reviews before picking this excursion for our family (37,35,13,11 and 6). We had read about the divers going out and bringing back sea life for ppl to see and touch, snorkeling and the Djs burning music for the kids, mixed with the fun family reviews we thought it would be perfect for us given it was our daughters 13th birthday. In fairness it rained the night before so the water wasn't clear enough for the divers to get anything, but he did stay in the water and hung out with the ppl and he gave our daughter a magnet of the map of Jamaica. The dj will burn u CDs at a extra price and sadly for the family experience 3 males standing next to the pier trying to lure ppl over were selling stuff for ppl to smoke out on the pier, the 2 guards would chase them off about 5ft but that's about all. If it was just us adults it wouldn't bother me at all to each their own, but my Tweens are not dumb and quickly caught on to how it worked. The beach party was all inclusive, lunch was good for us adults but not much for the kids, the jerk chicken was freakin amazing! It is true that they put the buffet away within 45-60 mins but they gave tons of last calls to get food. It was also all inclusive drinks, so most the adults were pretty lite by the time we left, but here again if it was just us adults I would have been drinking too! The games they played were more for the adults and drinking. It's not a place I would do again as a family, but as a cpl of adults wanting to cut loose, drink and have a blast it would have been perfect!

Montego bay is famous for Doc Cave's beach, but Cornwall is SO beautiful and it's basically desert in comparison to doc cave. The water color is so beautiful it looks like a painting !

Wow. Long wonderful sands to enjoy by day or stroll on as the sun sets. Its simply a different world.Only there for the day as I toured the Montego Bay coastline. If you can get a hotel nearby and want a truly romantic or relaxing vacation, then do it.

We stopped here as part of a boat trip. It was a beautiful white sandy beach with clear shallow water. Beautiful views from the beach. We were there just over an hour in the morning. It got busy quite quickly and they ran a lot of beach activities which we didn't get involved with. Lots of little touristy stalls and a bar.

It's a very nice and private beach. Lots a of sand. Not much shade area tho. Facilities r good. Sea a little ruff at time.
