this tour was amazing. no other words to describe it . our tour guide , Sexy chocolate ( lewis) was fantastic .He showed us so much generosity and kindness . we lucked into a private tour with two of his many cousins and they kindly showed us around town on bikes the whole entire day . even though they had spoke mainly spaniah they did a great job in showing us a great part of Dominican history. our stop at the restaurant was cool. was they're family restaurant . the food was fantastic . overall the history behind the tour is fantastic . I HIGHLY recommend this tour . it is worth every penny .

It was a great trip with a great tour guide Eddy. It included lunch and drinks and the price was great.

Our tour guides we passionate about their culture, it was a good tour that covered a lot about the area. We travelled through the countryside stopping at a country school where we gave the children some school supplies and they sang us a song to say thanks. We walked through a typical home. We had a chicken and rice lunch and a pina colada made with and served in a fresh pineapple. Took another drive to a beautiful beach where we jumped and played in the waves. Then we rinsed off in a natural blue spring cave. Another stop was to sample and see how cocoa is grown and dried. Great tour-1 tip I have is to bring lots of small $ with you for all of the stops! Bring school supplies and candy for the kids.

This tour was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone. When we saw the presentation during our orientation session I was excited, but my wife wasn't all that sold...when we took the tour we both agreed we could not get better value for our money. Our tour guide, Lewis (aka Sexy Chocolate) helped make this a great experience. He is very personable and knowledgable and loves his job.His father, who owns the tour company but rents the Jeeps, is also extremely friendly (we had him as a guide on another Brianda tour). The tour itself is exactly as advertised. You visit a normal Dominican home, a school, a chocolate plantation get to see where Jurassic Park was filmed. Go to an amazing beach, and an even better (albeit small) freshwater lake, watch cliff divers and learn a great deal about Dominican Life.Yet the highlight is most likely the lunch. The best food we had all week, which coincidentally is owned by Lewis' (aka Sexy Chocolate) father.I do not think a single person on this trip was disappointed and would rate it five stars on every level.

We enjoyed the sights and stops along the way. However, my husband commented to the tour guide at our first stop of the day that the rubber on the tires has peeled away and now the steel cords are breaking. Once we started to leave from that spot we got a flat on the other side of the truck and ran all afternoon on the rim. This made a terrible racket all afternoon until we stopped at headquarters for lunch. There we switched trucks to the spare. Shortly into our afternoon of sight seeing we ran out of fuel on a sharp s curve heading up the hill. After an hour waiting for a can fuel, and then another 1/2 hour to start truck, we were on our way to a gas station. There was no concessions given to customers after all this trouble.
