It was a bit difficult to find, but it's worth it. Intimate space, and absolutely authentic traditional music. We went one Thursday night and arrived a bit early - 8pm -ish, and the band Sone de Oriente started 9 pm sharp. Cover charge was only 2 cuc. The place was filled with mix of locals and adventurous music enthusiasts.

Great & funky place to dance and drink the night away with the locals and enjoy the live music. Great atmosphere...as soon as we entered the door we were pulled along to dance,...and we never stopped!

We heard good things about it from a friend, so we stopped by in the afternoon to grab a mojito/ron collins/etc. The bartender was very friendly, and I'd imagine that it's a great spot at night! We regret not having visited this place at night before we left SdC because it seemed like such a cool/eclectic place during the day.

The Casa de las Tradiciones is a great little Venue, great music, great atmosphere authentic and reasonably priced, you will meet real Cubans here.An added bonus is that my wife's family live next door, so pop in and say Hola, tell them Mark sent you.

This is the best place for dancing in Santiago. Last time we were in Cuba we came here every night and it was just as nice this year. It is tiny and very crowded, people dance everywhere, and there are more locals than tourists who love to dance. You can come alone or as a couple, but expect to be engaged by locals who teach you to dance salsa, the best teachers are found here. It is intimate, hot and vibrant! The bands play traditional music and may invite other foreign musicians and singers to join them. They serve mojitos, rum and soft drinks at the bar (no beer) and the entrance fee is 1-2 cuc. Get there early to find a table! Casa de las Tradiciones is definitely one of the highlights in Santiago

This is the heart of Cuban son and salsa: from this place you have the view over Santiago to which the Biena Vista Social Club owes its name. For lovers of salsa and son, this is the place to be.

Looking for a night out with good music and authentic Cuban atmosphere, a group of 7-8 people went to the Casa de la Tradiciones. We'd had a beer there earlier in the day and decided to come back to this charming place for some salsa in the evening. And what a night! After a few beers and mojitos in the back garden, we danced the evening away. Local Cubans asked us to dance with them and we did! What an amazing atmosphere! Just remember to bring a roll of toilet paper and some antibac with you. Toilet paper and water are hard to come by in Cuba.

The Casa de last Tradiciones is definitely the best place to spend the evening an early night in Santiago. From 10 p.m until the small hours of the next morning. No stage, the band is more or less mingling with the crowd. Great dancing, not for me but for those who enjoy salsa and know the basics. There is always a Cuban that likes to teach you a bit more.

I agree with other reviews that the Casa de las Tradiciones in the Tivoli of Santiago de Cuba is one of the more authentic venues and definately steeming.Watch-out is that only couples are now allowed in ... strange but true as in January 2006.(Ladies, go to the toilet before going, the ones in the venue are gross !!!)

Pague! Ou ofereça uma bebida. Vc vai querer ajudá-los. Nem que seja só pagando uma bebida.
