The museum was closed on the day we tried to visit it. The size of the museum was such that we did not expect a great exhibition. The main attraction of Trinidad is its surroundings, the former sugarcane fields and the sugar industry, the house of the owner etc.

it explains quite a lot - with nice examples. But in spanish only!!if you do not speak the language organize a translator or guide. :-)do not miss the fantastic toilet and shower rooms of the old time - ask the museum employees.

This museum is worth a visit as it provides a sense of Cuban colonial architecture...4 winged building surrounding a cooling, green courtyard. So if you ever wonder what a building might look like - think of a courtyard. There are many examples.

Lovely museum with helpful guides in the centre of Trinidad. Beautiful views of the town from the balcony and tower.

You must visit this museum to see Trinidad from above! There are beautiful views from the tower, really worth it, especially on a sunny day.

Great location by the plaza and a preferably, you have a guide who explains the historical significance of all the features. A must to see is the shower.

Visited on a very hot afternoon in July and we were glad to get out of the sun. The museum has a great English speaking guide who carefully explains the history of the architecture of Trinidad. Only a short visit, but very enjoyable.

WE had a really good guide here who made this museum a good choice. One of the most amazing exhibits was the semi-circular shower that was brought over from New York in the late 1800. This museum is housed in a glorious blue and white building

The Romance Museum was undergoing massive renovations and was closed so we visited this Archtecture Museum . It was very interesting with a good collection of European china ornaments and glass. A knowledgeable woman showed us around, the plumbing system was formidable for nearly 120 years ago and the architect's shower room was like a mediaeval torture room!! An interesting insight into life at the turn of the century.

Spent a wonderful visit at the Architetcture Museum in Trinidad. It is a great city with lots of music and salsa dancing, and during the day it is fun too. I toured the museum with Osmara, an English speaking guide, who was very knowledgeable about the history and exhibits. If you go, ask for Osmara and she will take care of you. After the tour she directed me to a charming restuarant for lunch off the tourist path.

Having the building's features explained by the engaging docent let us explore Trinidad's progress from first settlement through Castro's revolution and on into today. The museum is small enough to allow you to dwell where you want and to ask as many questions as you like.Well worth the time. In addition, the views from the top floor are superb!

unless you are an architect (or similarly minded) this won't be of interest to you. You will be given a personal tour around the few rooms with display.
