The 2 hour trip guided by "Lucky Luke" was a great way to spend the afternoon. Beautiful views in Lac Bay, learning about the Mangroves and a swim through the Mangrove was both relaxing and good exercise!

Guide was very knowlegable and friendly, enjoyed kayaking, even in the rain. Snorkeling was OK, poor visibility and strong current.

We took the longer tour of the mangroves which involved a beautiful kayak excursion and snorkeling in the mangroves. George was our guide and was great - gave a lot of information about the mangroves and we had so much fun kayaking and snorkeling!!

Really interesting trip for people who enjoy moderate exercise and adventure. I have only been kayaking once before, in the artic, paddling in warm water through lush vegetation was a big plus. Our guide showed enthusiasm for the protection of the area and did his best to pass on his knowledge. It was easy to see how someone could get lost in the maze of mangroves. Snorkeling was not offered but for the most part of our trip the water was too shallow. Saw lots of fish, a turtle, and flamingos. All in all, an excellent morning adventure.

We did the 2 hour trip and it was fantastic. The guide tells you all you want to know about the mangrove. The snorkling is also great, completely different from the coral reef. Beautiful colors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one hour kayak excursion. The guide was excellent. We will look to do the two hour excursion next time we are on Bonaire. Would recommend to anybody!

Booked this excursion on a recent Princess cruise. Absolutely enjoyed learning about the different types of mangroves and its impact on the ecosystem and also being able to kayak within. Mick - a great and knowledgeable guide.

This tour was fun. I enjoy learning about nature and ecosystems. In my country mangroves are not encountered, so I found it interesting to learn about the role mangroves play in the larger ecosystem from our guide Paul. He was very knowledgeable and clearly loves his career choice. I'm not used to kayaking, however the double kayaks were easy to paddle and steer. Going through the small mangrove tunnels was exciting. Paul discussed the local fish and plants which we could expect to see during our snorkel and made sure that no one missed the baby barracuda hidden beneath the mangrove roots. The shadowy snorkel through the mangrove was eerie at first, but once you adjusted your eyes it was fascinating. On our kayak back we were fortunate to see 15 sea turtles bob to the surface and take breath in 8 minutes. A fun informative tour and definitely recommended. Just remember to bring cash. No credit cards or debit is accepted.

Very interesting kayaktrip, easy to do.The activity brings professional guidance both in terms of kayak handling and explanation of the local mangrove world above and under water. A must do, including the snorkeling part, when visiting Bonaire.

Very nice people who seem to genuinely care about preserving the natural beauty of Bonaire! I was a little concerned about mosquitos and getting too much sun. My 50 spf worked like a charm and there were no mosquitos this time of the year. They don't take credit cards but we were able to book and pay online 3 days in advance. If we would have waited one more day they would have been all booked up. I usually dive and bird when I am in Bonaire. This was a nice change. When you drive into the site on the gravel road you can get some of the best views of Flamingos on the island. You can also see stilts, numerous types of herons, egrets and Loras (Bonaire's parrot).

We booked a kayak trip via our cruise ship whilst in Bonairre for my husbands birthday. It was the best decision we made that holiday. We were collected by a guide 'George' who drove us to the Mangroves. We had a quick briefing on the conservation and wildlife together with instruction on kayaking and were on the water within an hour of leaving the ship. We spent two hours on the water, manoeuvring between the narrow mangrove waterways and also on the open water crossing the lake. It was just wonderful to skim over the crystal clear waters ( none very deep ) and see the fish, plants, and other fascinating life living there. A thoroughly wonderful half day we will never forget.

I booked the 2 hr tour kayaking and snorkelling. Really enjoyed the guided tour -- informative on the history and ongoing preservation of the mango grove. Fun to navigate the mango grove channels as well as the snorkelling. The guide Georgi pointed out birds in the sanctuary. We saw a group of blue heron, flamingos, pelicans, osprey, etc. Also paddling part of Lac Bay was lovely. They give you a water proof bag for your camera!

As recent residents of Bonaire, a trip to the mangroves for a kayaking tour has become a standard part of the itinerary for our guests. It is a really well organised setup, the guides are both knowledgeable and fun and all the equipment in good working order. It is beautiful paddling around the Lac, through the mangroves seeing and understanding the eco systemA perfect example of sustainable tourism, highlighting the beauty of Bonaire without damaging it.

Having been to Bonaire several times (and recovering from a broken foot on my recent visit), planning a kayak trip seemed like a great alternative to the beach one day. Our guide, Paul, gave a really informative tour for our group of 6 on a beautiful day. And getting to snorkel through the narrow mangroves was a fun new way to explore underwater, and I'd be up for going back to see more! Because we made our reservation through our resort, we didn't realize it was cash only, so take note and book online in advance.
