Divine Mercy is a must visit for the devotees. I'm not a devotee but i should say the place is beautiful and solemn. Ladies are not allowed to wear shorts and long pants. They are required to wear a skirt or a wrap around upon entering the shrine premises. Men are not allowed to wear sleeveless and slippers. They have schedules for entering the heart of Jesus every 2-3 hours and there is a 30 minute seminar before the climb. The view from the heart is very scenic. it has a majestic view of the Macajalar Bay and Cagayan de Oros City. It also have a very classic but modern concept of a church at the back of the huge statue of Jesus. The designs are very intricate and accordingly it was all made by the local artisans in the area. There is also a spring which it is believed that the water coming out has healing properties and miraculous. I was able to get a bottle and thank God it was cool. It was a fun walk around and it is very ideal place for the whole family especially with the Catholics.

To be in this place of faith is a a joy beyond words. The super-imposing huge statue of the DIVINE MERCY humbles you to the ground. His arms so widely stretch, all- embracing just captivate your tired spirit. It is on a hilltop facing the awesome Macajalar Bay of Cagayan De Oro, a Northern Mindanao city. Nature is just grand around.Ultra conducive for spiritual recollection away from the noise of the world. It is well-keep and maintain by the Marian Fathers and the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro. The locals around are friendly. Upon my visit, it is still very rural around and it is nice just to have it so, simple with nature. When around Cagayan de Oro City, take time to be here. Whether you are a Catholic or not. Women & girls must wear skirts. Proper clothing is observed. This is a pilgrim destination not a tourist attraction. Going up to visit the Heart of Jesus in that statue is a spiritual joy beyond words. Only tears can expressed the inner joy of being like so close to heaven. The message of the Divine Mercy is : " Come to the fount of My Mercy. My heart overflows with Mercy for everyone . I am glad to visit this spiritual oasis of inner joy , hope and trust when the world around me is chaotic.

A perfect setting to renew and reflect. You should not miss this place, when in Cagayan de Oro. Its just a few minutes away from the City Proper. Public Transportations are available from the City Proper.

The Divine Mercy Statue is located at the top of the Divine Mercy Hills in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental (-+ 15 minutes drive from CDO) Words is not enough to describe, what you see and how you feel, as you see the beauty of the surrounding area leading to the Divine Mercy Shrine. On either side of the pathway, the gardens has beautiful red, yellow, green and white flowers, all arranged in a lovely pattern. There is also healing waters from the water spring near the pathway on the right hand side. I used my time to pray and appreciate all the blessings that God gives. It is peaceful there. We attended mass afterwards, what stood out to me was the thorned roof of the church, the interior and exterior was designed so well. I went with my wife and in laws. They also supply you with a cloth to cover youself, my wife took one, as there is a dress code. There is gift shops and you can also get yourself something refreshing to drink. It's a must visit when you are in town.

A 5 minutes drive from the main highway of El Salvador city proper. A parking lot for private cars and stairs for people wants to walk going up to the shrine. The garden is well maintained and the view from the top is very relaxing. A catholic mass and religious routine of praying into the top of the shrine where the sacred religious relic is place happened daily. Be aware of wearing short shorts but there are robes available for every visitors. Heres the catch. 5 minutes drive from the shrine is where the dairy processing facility is located. They sale different milk bar flavors, choco milk is the most popular and other milk products.

Twice I have been there now and the views are breath taking. When it comes to the facilities it does lack a little but, like no resturant, there are shops down bellow. It depends on what you are looking for.... Its a religious spot so you dont want it too commercialized. It is disappointing the hike to the heart isnt available at all times, or atleast available on demand.

Its 5 years since I last visited this religious site. I found it to be peaceful, restful and spiritual. The statue is seriously big and spectacular but in line with other with other contributors I must remark that it is a stiff climb up many steps to get to it. Temperatures here can reach 50C in April May and June and is really oppressive for us Northern Europeans. You MUST take some water or other liquid refreshments and if you are unused to such strong sun take an UMBELLA or parasol to keep the sun off, even the locals do that. The view from the top is sensational. Well worth the trip out to visit.

Felt like I can talk to Jesus face-to-face. Beware of your children if your're going to visit this place during holy week because its very crowded. I've seen a lost child when we went here. Food is allowed inside the premises. Avoid wearing skirts and sleeveless to prevent hassles.

Its located in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. It is much closer in Laguindingan Airport than Lumbia. You need to wear a long skirt to avoid being required to wear their sarong. Sleeveless are also forbidden. After the mass, you need to attend a short (non-english/non-tagalog) seminar before going up.

I feel awe, it is a breathtaking view of the sea from the monument of the shrine. The church with crown of thorns around it is very meaningful. The drinking water free that has healing capability is available, free, 6 faucets gushing with water, it tastes nice.

The grounds were impeccable, and the children selling prayer candles were cute but I felt somewhat sorry for them. The dress code was rather odd and I was required to wear these strange pants that looked very odd in the photo. But it was well worth the visit. I would like too see the statue at night.

We hired a taxi from gaisano mall cagayan de oro to this place and asked the driver to wait for us for one hour. He charged us 700 pesos. Upon entering, we were required to wear wrap around skirts (we were wearing pants ). No entrance fee . Just give a donation. The place is clean, with a beautiful, well-kept garden. It also boasts of a great view. The statue of Jesus was enormous and a wonderful sight. We attended mass at 330.pm. The church is new with some construction still going on. The roof of the church is designed with a crown of thorns. I highly recommend people to visit this place even if they are non- Christians.

Be ready to go up a flight of more than 100 steps if you go to this Shrine (definitely not for the faint-hearted). The place is quiet, peaceful and serene, since Catholic devotees (and not your usual curious tourists) are probably the type of people who visit the place. What you will see at the top of the Shrine is magnificent in scope and splendor. There are certain areas along the way where people can stop to rest or to say their prayers in front of various religious icons. Visitors are required to be in proper attire, but the staff downstairs will readily lend you malongs or wrap-around skirts if you need them

This little piece of heaven is not really located in Cagayan de Oro. It is in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental. To get there, you can ride a taxi, a van, or a habal-habal (motorbike with driver for hire). If you are on a budget and not in a rush, get an Initao or an El Salvador jeepney and tell the driver to drop you off where you can get a habal-habal to the Divine Mercy Shrine. This is a must-visit for devoted Christians.Non-Christians will not miss much (great view, fresh air and serenity) if they don't visit this place.
