The women of pandin were trained to handle the management of this tourist site. It's not hard to have appreciation of the place-- a beautiful lake and good food sourced locally prepared by the local community. Every Filipino should visit this place because aside from enjoying the beautiful lake, we support a local community's livelihood.

Lake Pandin is definitely one of my favorite spots in Laguna. Its absolutely serene - or at least it was the first time i visited. Now, a giant fighting cock farm owned by a customs official has popped up and destroyed the scenery with prison-like walls all around the lake. I feel sorry for the little village that lived on paddling tourists across the sea. They are squeezed in between lake and chicken prison. So go and visit the lake now, as long as its still possible. You can get a (really delicious) lunch in a floating bamboo raft and have a swim in the jade green, cold lake.

Beautiful lake. Simply stunning. If you're in San Pablo, Laguna, don't miss to visit Lake Pandin. It's worth the hike.

We love everything about Lake Pandin! We had the whole lake to ourselves. A small rate per person covers the food charge and the raft use. The shrimp in gata and the grilled tilapia was the freshest you could have. best to use your hands to fully enjoy the meal! Swimming in the beautiful lake was such an experience. Its a must when in Laguna!

Last January 2013, my family and I were supposed to visit this lake as part of our Laguna road trip. Unfortunately, it rained and we have to cancel this part of our road trip since it is not advisable to go there if the trail is slippery (especially for senior citizens like my parents). Then my officemates and I bought a tour package for Kamay ni Hesus (in Lucban, Quezon) and Taytay Falls (in Majayjay, Laguna). I suggested to include the Tour to Pandin Lake (which I arranged with Aling Sion +639299789565) in Brgy. Sto. Anghel to maximize our road trip. For P360 (P180 for the raft ride and P180 for the lunch [grilled tilapia, young shrimp in coconut milk, fern salad, banana for dessert, and fresh buko juice]), you'll have a very enjoyable experience with nature while supporting the livelihood program for the people in the community.Before you could enjoy the lake, there is a short walk (maybe 15-20 minutes with uphill slope) from the National Highway. There is a parking area where you could leave your vehicles for a minimal fee. The tour is for 2 hours (during peak season) to 3 hours (during off-peak season) - swimming (with life vest since the lake is very deep), fishing, exchanging stories with local rafters or just simply relaxing and enjoying the fresh air and the beauty of the place. You may also opt to visit its twin lake (Yambo).

Lake Pandin is a real charmer especially for urban dwellers already tired of inhaling dusty air, bearing with the hot weather and noise about the city. It's a sanctuary, a place to relax, to enjoy the bounties of nature - fresh air, clean water, delicious local food, swimming - and just soaking it all up to get recharged. There's a 10-15 minute walk that gets you revved up before you actually lay your eyes on this beautiful scenery of a lake couched in the arms of coconut trees and other flora. As soon as you step on the bamboo raft and move across the lake, it's a time to enjoy all of nature's goodness. At the other side of the lake, there's an image of the Virgin Mary where you can offer a prayer of thanks for the trip. And then you start to enjoy the food including fresh coconut prepared for you by the locals. Locals are given the opportunity to take care of their surrounding and at the same time earn from tourists to get it going. The swim is also a soothing thrill under teh roots of the Balete tree. Everyone should give this place a visit - half-day is just about right.

A product of my wife's extensive research leads us to our next nature discovery trip - the twin lakes of Lake Pandin and Lake Yambo.Sampalok Lake is the most famous of the Seven Lakes but we opted for the 'lake less travelled'. True enough, there was only a couple of other groups when we arrived.Lake Pandin is one of the smallest but the cleanest. The color is green due to the reflection of the thick vegetation surrounding the lake. We had to book our visit in advance with a boat woman (oarswoman) since we were going to avail of the meal+boat package which costs P360/head (P180 for the raft and P180 for the lunch). We just googled for some contact numbers.We had a full seafood meal complete with native fruits & vegetables, a 3-hour raft ride, a short hike up a hill to Lake Yambo, went fishing, swimming and had a wonderful, relaxing day. Great value for money and an amazing experience for our whole family! Tip: The lake is very deep, swimming requires a life vest to be worn at all times.
