For everyone who is planning to go to the falls based on the wonderful pics available on the net or based on what was shown in Chennai Express please ensure you go in the monsoons or else have a lower expectation from the place. You get jeeps from the main road that will take you through a taxing way upto the falls.It will cost you around 700. The access to falls is restricted post 1530 hours so you need to plan accordingly. The road upto the falls is around 10 km and is muddy, it passes through the woods and if you like nature you may enjoy the drive up there. You will need to do a small walk of some 400 metres to reach the fall. The size of the fall will disappoint you unless you have planned during monsoons and especially if you have seen some of the other falls around bangalore like shivasamundram or jog falls. One way of improving your experience would be to trek your way upto the top of the falls, thrillophilia offers a package for some 800 bucks which includes breakfast and lunch. All in all it is an average destination surrounded by much hype, but you may just want to tick off a popular destination off your to do list by visiting the falls

Amazing view - both destination and the journey. if you are visiting in March, be sure to keep yourself hydrated on the way. the only way to visit is hiring their local taxis. You can get one on shared basis. At entrance, you will be required to pay fee for yourself and any digital cameras that you are taking inside. Ride is fun, specially when you are going there. On my way back was feeling little nauseated 'coz of rough ride and tiredness. But it was worth it.

A must visit place. We hired a two wheeler and went there from North goa.Journey from parking to water fall is awesome.You will get scenic beauty of national park and dudhsagar river.

You need to hire a 4x4 vehicle to get to the falls as they are a 20 minute cross-country journey from the ticket office... The transport is easily affordable at £7/700Rs per person and each Jeep takes six passengers. This journey is great fun in itself as the guide will point out the wonderful vegetation and animals/insects all around you as you drive through the jungle and past the tribes that live there. When you arrive at the falls you will find another 15 minute walk to the waterfall itself... Take care, as the walk is over very rough terrain including scrambling over rocks, boulders and bridges. Whilst you walk to the falls you will be entertained by the hoards of Monkeys that will follow you in the hope of being fed! When you get to the falls.... WOW, what a great sight. You can swim in the pool at the bottom however you will only have an hour in total to return to your Jeep so you might find this a bit tricky to complete in the time allowed - we spent too long feeding the monkeys :-) There are only a couple of things to look out for, firstly everyone wants to take your money, only a Little at a time but it all adds up.. You will need to pay for the Jeep, to enter the park, to hire a life belt for each visitor and for every camera and/or video camera that you take into the park. Secondly, we were confused as we were attacked when we arrived by locals selling bananas and nuts to feed the Monkeys and when you get into the park you are surrounded by signs telling you not to feed the monkeys. All in all This was a great attraction and I thoroughly recommend a visit.

The road to the falls are in itself something to admire. Excellent roads through green fields lead you to the point from where hired jeeps will take you for a 10km stretch which though bumpy is very exciting too. Wear such footwear with which you can negotiate forest trails and rocky roads. And cross boulders to see this majestic fall through the middle of which the Konkan rail lines pass. This is a perennial fall so you can see water anytime and the lake where the fall descends is a safe place to swim. However, since the boulders get slippery I wish there was a proper track made to the lake so that everyone could enjoy the bath. Even the monkeys here are so well behaved that they will even pose for photos,

The journey is bumpy and rough in a jeep. Followed by a walk which is unsuitable for kids, elderly or people with health problems / handicaps. But the final destination, the waterfall itself, more than makes up for all the roughness and difficulties of the journey. There is a small natural pool at the base of the waterfall where one can swim. Many monkeys and colourful butterflies on the way make for good photos.

Literally Dudhsagar :) !! We took jeep from Kulem and went to the falls. After the railways track ends, we experience a thick jungle in the valley. My friends took a lot of pictures at this place. The jeep went till last point and we took a hike towards the falls. When we saw the falls they were not huge but carried a milky texture due to excessive foam on the water surface.

Although there is a bumpy journey, by jeep into the park, once you see the white waters of the falls, you'll feel enchanted by this beautiful place. Take a swim in the waterfall and get up close to some of the monkeys living in the park

We went in February. Though water is less, we enjoyed a lot swimming in the hot sun. We actually drove(on rented bikes) to this place from Goa and the ride was too good. A perfect long drive.

Wooohh!! We enjoyed a lot, every one should go there. The water is cool & clear.It's Seasonal Nov is the best month to visit. They take Rs.200 some thing and provide you life jacket & they have their jeep, so they take you to the place. Don't forget that you have to go there early morning (7-7.30 am) or you won't be able to go coz there is a huge Q.

We went to Dudhsagar falls in February. Though the water was less in the falls but the journey to the fall despite being bumpy was a bit enchanting as this waterfall is inside a national park. It is definitely worth at least one visit. The benefit of visiting the falls during non-monsoon months is that you are allowed to go right where the falls are touching the ground. I have heard that during monsoon that area gets closed.

Earlier the travelers on train from Madgaon to southern destinations had the unique privilege to have a ‘glimpse’ (yes, a glimpse only) of this beautiful natural wonder. Learning that it is also accessible by road we made a 1N2D week-end trip.Drive for about 55 km from Goa Airport to Mollem. From Mollem Check Post leave the highway and take the right turn and drive for about 5 km to Elephant Village. Here, you are to park your car, and travel by authorized 4x4 jeeps. A jeep takes 6 passengers @Rs 400 per head. It is also mandatory for all visitors to carry lifejackets which may be hired @ Rs 20 right there. There are plenty of jeeps and lifejackets, and the system is well organized; so there is no reason to exasperate. The road is not paved and there are three streams with rocky bottom to cross; so be prepared for a rough back-breaking journey for about three hours. We had an extra dose of thrill. It had rained for the whole of previous night, and we negotiated very slippery tracks and fast-flowing streams. A look out point with a small tower is located right near the parking lot, so no walking is required. The surrounding hills are covered with lush green forests. A hill track with small bridges to cross hilly streams goes to the lake below the grand water falls. Brave ones can take a dip in the cold water of the lake, of course with the life jacket on.The bonus is to watch hordes of playful small rhesus monkeys (Wish, the homo sapiens are environmentally conscious and do not offer food to them in spite of strict visual and verbal instructions by forest officials!!!).

Best trip. Waterfalls beautiful. Loved feeding the monkeys and our driver in the jeep there and back was hilarious

We visited this falls in February 2015 and hence it had less water.You should visit it around monsoon season. We went from Panaji in taxi (Up and down Rs.4000) and there we paid 350 each for the forest travel in jeep.(Cabs are not allowed and jeeps are the best in that uneven roads).Then we should walk for 100mts to reach the falls.Tried to go by trekking through tunnels and railway tracks.But the guides in that area completely denied that option saying we should write and give them that it is on our own risk we are trying this and they are not responsible for our safety.But after reaching there, we could see lot of people trekking in that route and waving their hands to us from the top.But the falls was very beautiful to see even with that less water and there were lots of monkeys and big sized fishes in that lake near falls.I would suggest people to travel by train to have a good view of the top tier of the falls during season and also go by jeep to the bottom of the falls to enjoy swimming in that freezing water.

I visited the falls on the last day of my solo trip to Goa. I took a train from station near Bogmalo beach. I can't seem to recall name of the station but it was last stop. From there I took shared jeep right from outside of the station. It was fun ride and there was a little bit waiting time as well.The ride was through forest area and it took us some time to reach the place. From there we had to walk a little bit to reach to the bottom of the falls. The color of the falls is like milky white, don't know the reason though. While waiting at the station to go back Chennai Express train crossed by in the evening. I was glad to see the train more the movie tbh.
