It is one of the well restored church in Pondicherry. The inside is pretty well kept and open to all .the color of the building is little unusual. They have made and effort to keep the age old fixture the same way.Sit and prey for a while one can feel the solace of the place. Centrally located .

This is another church that is a must visit! It is close to railway station. So, if you are coming via train then this is unmissable! However, if you are not, then you might miss on this beauty. Right away, mark it as a must visit in your itinerary. It is just 15 mins walk from city center and 5 mins by bike. Just ask anyone for Railway station and find this church infront of the station.

Very close to the Pondicherry railway station. Very good architecture with lot of stained glasses. Could be maintained little bit better on the outside/entrance. Can spend about 10-15 mins in this church looking at the history, glass work etc

This is the same as the Sacred Heart of Jesus, spent some time looking for another church but after going up and down the street a couple of times discovered it was the same.Great renovation and well worth a look.

This basilica is the same as the church of the sacred heart of Jesus (which I have already reviewed)It is pretty, but in a crowded area opposite the railway station.

It is a good church close to railway station but not clean as such. It is not maintained properly. Good to stoop here for 10-15 min to see.

Beautiful church, with lovely satined glass windows and domes. The ceilings are amazing, definitely worth a visit

The peace, the serenity and the spirituality combined in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are indescribably good. The sheer side of the cathedral and the architectural wonder that it is make you say WOW and having been there just 2 days past Christmas made it an even more memorable experience

This church that is still active, is one of the most beatuful churches ever. The staines glass paintings and the sculptures are astounding. This tall church boasts of intricate french architecture.

I walked up to the Sacre Coeur from Blanche Metro; if you are going to do this wear some good shoes. Walking through the narrow streets was interesting and fun although the higher you get the higher the prices for the tourists. The Sacre Coeur itself is beautiful although the Interior is not as interesting as the exterior. The view are tremendous and it's well worth adding to your itinerary if you are visiting Paris. There are many negative posts about the Sacre Coeur and the tourists sites in Paris mentioning the pick pockets and the 'tourists scams'. You can avoid these by being an aware traveler; keeping your valuables close and stop being so gullible!

The church exterior is quite unusual and the interior pleasant and relaxing, but generally speaking nothing overly interesting to see unless you are particularly keen on churches.

Nous l avons trouvee par hasard , en flanant dans le quartier de la gare . Tres belle construction, avec des inscriptions et des explications en français . Dommage que les photos soient interdites a l interieur, mais on se plie au reglement . Belle decouverte .
