This museum is located in two amazing "casas" and the collection features an excellent and broad scope of Latino art. Sunday is free, but it's worth paying for!

It starts with the early colonial pieces and moves through to the modern head-scratching (for me!) collection. There isn't a lot of explanation but it's an intriguing escape from the León heat. And almost as good as what the owners have at their hotel, El Convento.

Great place, grounds are really well maintained. Loved the added feature of the little turtles in one of the ponds. Lovely range of different artists,

Central American art is nicely displayed in a series of three beautiful colonial homes. Worth a trip to Leon.

this huge museum is spreaded in a number of buildings and is really remarkable, now with a Picasso exhibition. There are works from across Latin America & the world & the houses are themselves quite interesting.

What an amazing personal collection of art! There were several houses filled with art in many forms from paintings to three dimensional models. We spent a couple of hours wandering through with our excellent guide, Julio. As are many places in Leon, it is a bit hidden away and not well signed but well worth finding.

W O W, what a pleasant surprise in Leon. Great setting for big time artists in 2 mansions across the street from each other. Was surprised the art is so open in the courtyards, ponds, and exposed elements. I told Julio our guide if this museum were in Miami or New York, the art would be stolen in a New York minute. A great place to mellow among varying forms of art and artists worldwide. If you like Picasso, you will love the collection here.

Beautiful setting, grounds, etc., and a great collection of Nicaraguan and Central American art. A couple more signs to the entrance would have been appreciated.

This sprawling museum contains first rate art from around Central and South America. It's a huge complex spanning 3 or 4 buildings, and includes works from some of the top artists in Latin America. All for a buck!

The museum is housed in 3-4 colonial buildings, themselves amazingly beautiful. The art ranged from beautiful to very political, painfully challenging. Lots of comfortable places to sit and contemplate.

Amazing collection. Gorgeous architecture. Favorite was the broken statue! A quiet respite from the hustle of Leon.

Diverse examples of central American art and temporary exhibitions. Route map provided which is useful for the books and crannies of 4 houses which comprise the museum.

We took an excursion from the Holland America Statendam cruise ship. Totally unknown city but SO interesting. Our guide, Edgar was outstanding and really knowledgeable. The Ortiz Burdian Art Gallery has a huge range of pictures in such a lovely house. Also visited the Metropolitan Cathedral where Ruben Dario, father of Spanish literature is buried, before visiting his house where he was born and learning about his life and writings.Great trip.

Amazing that the art is exposed to the humidity and heat! Great 20th century stuff though the 21st stuff is like a lot of other museums, all a bit crazy. But Saenz, Itturtiba, were great.A bit confusing to find the entrance.
