While there are 2 McDonald's and a Walmart in Cartago, one does not wxpect to find a competent craft beer facility. The staff are dedicated and quite knowledeable. The serviceis very good. And rhe product is high quality. On a hot Central Plateau day, a real treat to stop here and enjoy customized cerveza.

A complete different experience! Is so cool to have a taste of real beer in Costa Rica you get used to taste the "commercial" beers here, but once you experience a Segua. you can never go back!

This is a great little brewery and an interesting and informative tour. The best part is the samples. My Favorites are the Libertas Golden Ale and the Segua Red Ale. Both are packed with flavor. Just another great reason to visit Cartago.

Very informative tour regarding history and the process behind beer. Very recommended as a group activity.The hostess was very knowledgeable about the subject.

We loved getting to visit the brewery. My husband and I both have backgrounds in the beer business in the US and it was great to see this small craft brewery that seems to be doing everything right here in Costa Rica. We enjoyed tasting the beers, trading stories, and see the operation. Special thanks for the IPA - it was a taste of home after 5 months away.The brewery will be moving to Ciudad Colon soon.

We decided to take the "men" of the family on a tour over the weekend.We opted for a new place that we have heard of on various occaisions so we decided to check it out.... Costa Rica's Craft Brewing Co.What a great place, Allen is super friendly and very attentive to the clients. He has vast knowledge of the process and very open to questions and interacting with everyone.The beer is great, we had samples of various Ale's my favorite is the Libertas, its much smoother for drinking in the hot weather.Worth the visit and the friendly service is an excellent bonus.

If you want to get away from the craziness of San Jose and experience something different while in Costa, I strongly suggest that you visit Costa Rica's Craft Brewing Co. in Cartago. You will sample the best beer that there is in the country while in a relaxed and comfortable environment. If you come to CR you can't miss this tour and beer sampling!!

After living in Costa Rica for the last 5 years we finally have great beer here. The beer (Libertas, Segua and the occasional seasonal beer) is wonderful. The tour of the brewery is a good time, which includes several samples of different beers made by the world class brewmaster and the opportunity to see and learn about how beer is made. The team is knowledgeable, down to earth and friendly (both English and Spanish is spoken). The tour is well worth the trip to Cartago.
